The books are great but seriously there's no map in the books?

This not a review of the story but of the edition. Usually I find box sets to be different publishers and dimensions. I’m particular about the size of my books whenever possible. I had the first trilogy The Blade Itself etc each bought singularly but all the same publisher. And extremely pleased that this boxed set is equal in all ways. Quality and size. A great value as well! Looking forward to reading them!

Fantastic book series cementing Abercrombie as one of the best fantasy writers of our time. Product itself arrived in good condition, paperbacks are of the American design and therefore very large and floppy, which I liked.

Amazing trilogy! Books came in good condition!

The main characters are even more complex and nuanced than before, and if it lacks the some of the excitement of barbarian hordes laying about themselves with bloody axes in his previous books (although there is still a fair amount of that), this is more than made up for by the sheer fun from seeing diabolical plans realised (and thwarted, but then realised again!). This is the Industrial Revolution complete with Luddites meeting the French Revolution and the result is glorious. Once you've read it through once, you're going to want to go back and read it again.

Great dialogue and characters. Some really good witty exchanges and inside voices. Humour, drama and lots of action. You can't go wrong with Joe Abercrombie. I also enjoy the threads of characters between the various trilogies and single books. Very entertaining.
