Stone Harbor Hardware Die-Cast Drive-in Ball Catch, 1" Diameter, Polished Chrome

We were missing one of our ball catches in the home we recently purchased. Looking around on Amazon, we found this product. I measured the hole it fits into and made sure it was the right size before ordering because the old outer casing was still in the door and in great shape. Once it arrived, I removed the inner piece and inserted that into the old sleeve. It fit perfectly and locked into place. The door now catches just like the other door.

Orders this as a replacement. It came VERY quickly, was easy to install, and works great.

This product works well and even better than the original installed by the builder! Provides a smooth operating door!

I just needed the inner threaded core along with the ball and spring to replace ones that had worn. I did not need to remove/replace the outer drive-in sleeve, which would have been a bigger project. Fortunately the size matched our existing hardware and as such, my installation was a snap.

These appeared to be a direct replacement of my old hardware but were not compatible. They do seem to be quality material, just not the right style for my application,

No screws necessary. Just remove old unit and tap new unit into place. Start finish the process took 1-2 minutes.

Exactly what I needed. Couldn’t buy this kind in local hardware stores.
