Nice quality latch. This latch allowed me to install hopper windows at a height of 18' in my Pole Barn. I can open and close the hopper window from the ground with a "Prime-Line H 3662 Transom Latch Hook" attached to a 16' pole. I used a spacer to mount the latch on the window and the catch was mounted to the window frame. Works great!

These are great, easy and sturdy. Just close and they self lock. One finger to open them up again. Great for my fumble hands.

These were the perfect solution for closures for an overhead trap door leading to our attic storage! Ran colored cord from each, through a set of eyes, and then brought cord ends back to far center ring; allowing me to hook the ring and tug, and door opens. Push the door up closed and they snap it securely - works great!

Purchased this lock to install on a custom wooden baby gate. It looks great and seems to be fairly sturdy. It also seems difficult enough to operate that it can be used for a pet or baby gate - it does require some hand strength to use. It does not, however, self latch as advertised. There is an angle on the latch rod and you would need to install the two components far enough apart so that the angled aspect of the latch rod hits the latch receiver. The stock images for the item listing show it installed where the two components are touching, there is no way it would self latch. We installed ours with the two components about 1/8th inch apart and this is still too close to allow it to self latch. Not a big issue for us, we manually latch it but it would be nice to self latch as was listed. Well worth the price considering you get four sets of this lock.
