If you're looking at buying these then you likely already know that failing electrolytic capacitors are what cause ¿most? older electronics to fail. For instance, I ordered theses to replace caps in an old (as in ~12 years) LCD TV that were causing the TVs video-in board to sometimes work and sometimes briefly show glitchy video and then cut out. Didn't guess that was due to a cap failing until opening up the set and looking at the ends of the caps. Sure enough, a few showed signs of bulging ends and some had corrosion along the indented + on the end. A couple of minutes with a soldering iron and a solder sucker and the set was as good as new. Piece of cake and better looking 1080P image than what I've seen on newer models. This assortment had everything I needed at a great price. If I'd ordered just the parts I needed from Mouser shipping would have been more than this selection, and now I have plenty of variety for future repairs even after replacing all the iffy looking caps. The sectioned box these come in is nicely labeled and convenient for storage and pulling parts from. Even if these caps fail before the TV is gone there are plenty more in the box for lots of repairs. Again for the less familiar, I'll mention that I did use caps from the kit that have a higher voltage rating than the ones I replaced. In my case the kit had 330 µF 25V caps which I used to replace 330 µF 16V caps. That's fine for capacitors. The capacitance (measured in micro Farads here) is the critical number to match up. You can always use higher voltage rated caps. Just don't use ones with a lower voltage rating. In fact, the higher voltage rated caps should last longer than the lower V rated ones (quality, ... being equal.)

Good selection of capacitors. I used them for a Halloween project. They are well organized and the case works well. Good beginner set for the money.

Scuff these with someting to show the copper or whatever metal the're using befor you solder in place..They value stays the same and are good capacitors..just a bit of extra work to install them which I don't mind for the price!!

The very first capacitor I used from this kit gave up after 2 weeks of light use. This further reinforces Louis Rossman's video where he talks about the quality of electronic components being sold on this platform. I used this kit to replace a capacitor on a Vizio S4251w-B4 sound bar, 470uF 16v, on the power supply. As mentioned, the very first replacement failed after 2 weeks, the second replacement is still going strong. Just an overall sour first impression. *2 May 2024 edit* I'm on my third capacitor for my Vizio soundbar; second one failed after 2 months. Maybe it's the power supply components in the sound bar going bad, maybe it's less than acceptable quality in these capacitors.

I really didn't really need this whole set, but it has exactly what I needed to fix an older bose cd/radio player. Nicely built capacitors for sure.
