Great price, good quality, smallest taps a little larger than the tiniest screws, but OK coverage overall

For the price this is a great set. It did the job as expected. It's nice to have both metric and sae, I'm covered for everything.

Work well for the price. I've used a few of these taps and dies. They seem like they are decent quality. Probably better for cleaning up threads more than cutting new in steel, but with patience and cutting fluid I've been able to get some decent threads cut without damaging them. Fairly sharp and durable.

It is great to have a set this extensive as it will cover many of the common and uncommon sizes and threads

At first this kit of taps and dies seemed a great idea. Many sizes I could use. A nice HDPE box to store. Then I saw the taps and dies. They are at best poor quality. Rough finishes with easily observed dull cutting edges. I suspect these cutting tools will have difficulty cutting plastic. The finishes on all the cutting implements is poor and rough. The tap and die wrenches are rough and poorly built. Even if the steel is hardened properly the blunt cutting edges will not hold up. Overall, not recommended, cheap crap Labeled as Made in China. I have received better China made taps and dies previously. Don't bother with VEVOR brand...

Received this tap and die set today and i'm impressed with the packaging and presentation. Unlike many tool sets that arrive in a similar cases not one tap or die had come loose. All 110 items were securely in their allotted compartment. Now for $40.00 I realize these are not HSS (high speed steel) but an almost identical HSS set from Grangers is listed at $950.00. I did a few tests using the correct size pilot drill (very important) some tapping fluid and backing off after every turn and the results are impressive. With care I believe this set will do all that I need at a huge savings ?
