the good:-arrived quickly and has drivers included-on windows 10 this is a plug and play and also automatically updates drivers to current version-on windows 10 this shows 867mbps on 5g and USB 2.0 or USB 3.0-the chipset is REALTEK and the model is 8812AU which is fairly current give or take since 2016the bad:-does not easily install on a windows 7 machine although I've tried 2 different machines-performance on windows 7 is more in the 144.5 mbps zone which is actually less than the built in wireless for the machines-boxed somewhat confusing as the external picture and insert sleeve imply that this should have 2 high gain antennas which it does not and I did not expect it to have itfinal word:-for $10 this is definitely a quick fix if you need connectivity - at this price point I recommend it but with reservationson performance

Works just as well as the higher-priced adapters with the same chipset. However, it doesn't work very well with Linux, I think there may be issues with the driver.

A little bulky buts works great!
In windows 10 it installed by itself, not recommended for laptops as its a bit large but as a trade off it picks up very well in both 2,4 and 5.8ghz
