ARM & Hammer Clear Balance, One Step Alkalinity & pH Maintenance Tablets for Swimming Pools & Spa, Long-Lasting Water Balancer, 24 Count

I've been taking care of my own pool for years (pool details below if it helps anyone). Some years are easier/harder than others. I'd get the chlorine right (I like to keep mine around 3ppm), the alkalinity (80-120), and pH (7.2-7.8) and make sure there is also a healthy calcium reading (200-400). I strive for perfection. I try to get 0.0 saturation index on that little wheel. I had always had to periodically raise alkalinity with soda. Last year, my pH kept getting high, and I was often having to put acid in the pool. I decided to give this product a try because it manages both pH and alkalinity and sounded really easy. Almost too easy. I made sure my water was where I wanted it before I started using it. The directions are simple - add one tablet per tablet of chlorine. I put these tablets in my skimmers because I have a chlorinator. After a few months of using it, I have to say...it really works. The pool glistens like liquid glass. Every time I check my pool, pH is around 7.5 and alkalinity is around 90. The chlorine has normal efficacy. Some people say this gets "sudsy". If you have your chemicals right (especially make sure you have enough calcium), this is minimal if at all. I can probably use up to 7 of these tablets a week in the summer, so you'll need more than the 16 that's in there. I wish I could buy more at once or cheaper, but considering they are so easy to use, and I no longer have to use the other chemicals...it is probably a bargain. No measuring, no hazards. Good luck! I use 1 in my pool chlorinator for every 1 chlorine 3" tablet as recommended. No other chemicals required so far to keep my pool water clear and in balance. Very handy to use.

I used this product only one summer (just installed a new above ground pool last July) and it seemed to work fine. I did not have any issues with the water at all. It stayed clear all summer until Fall when we closed it. We purchased an automatic chlorinator (highly recommend doing this) and the Arm & Hammer did help keep the water clear. I will use it again this year and see how it goes.

I'm going into my third summer of using these. Prior to finding these I was always fighting low pH in our backyard pool. For the last couple of summers, I've I just tossed one of these in a floater a couple times a week and my pH stays in a good range. They dissolve quickly and make pool maintenance easier for me.

This is a much better alternative than buying so many different unnecessary chemicals. I add one arm & hammer tablet along with a chlorine tablet and keeps my pool clear all season long. Highly recommend this product

Product arrive open and inside the box a lot crumb and all tablet broken

It was supposed to be in 3inch tablets but when I received the package, the tubs were delivered upside down with all the tablets were smashed and broken into powder form
