What is making the product sweet? I want to make sure there are no sweeteners, including stevia, in the product.

I did a blood glucose test after drinking the sweet and spicy tea and the glucose was my lowest reading yet at 64. (I only began testing yesterday though). There is no sugar in the Sweet & Spicy tea. Measure your own glucose, be a scientist! Get a Dorio device for $32 and test your blood glucose. I drank this tea back in the early 90’s at various Good Earth Restaurants. We used the tea to keep us awake to study.

18 count tea bag pack of 6. What is this? 18 bags or 6. Doesnt make sense $1.65 an ounce

There are 18 bags in a box. 6 boxes for this price. It is a very good deal, much better than the grocery stores around here. Even better than Walmart.

Does this tea have ascorbic acid or any form of Vitamin C in it. thanks, Marcy

No mention of ascorbic acid/vitamin C on the box or on the company website. INGREDIENTSGreen tea, hibiscus, natural flavors, blackberry leaf, elderberry, licorice root, pomegranate flower, pomegranate, acerola cherry juice.

Is this the same tea that used to come in a cream box with a farmer of some sort on it?

Good Earth (Tetley since 2005) is currently (Jan 2017) offering three different products, confusingly labelled. They now ALL come in an ORANGE & WHITE box."Good Earth Sweet & Spicy" is available in: - "herbal & black tea";- "caffeine free herbal tea"; and- "organic caffeine free herbal tea". To make it even more confusing, there is also some old stock of the Original (PURPLE box) non-organic, non-black tea around.Be sure to know what you are buying - ask the specific seller! (On Amazon, many sellers offer a product via the same product page, and their stock is often different....)Don't make the mistake I did, and order the wrong one! This is not the tea you are looking for if you want the Force to be with you. ;) Instead, get the ORGANIC one. If you want a darker tea with a simpler, stronger flavor, get the Original. For even more kick (caffeine) get the Herbal & Black tea version. Personally, I prefer the organic, finding the flavor more complex and subtle - but that's just personal preference. Or maybe I'm more highly evolved?? HA!The Original formulation from the company in Santa Cruz ca. 1972, hasn't been made for over a decade. The CA company sold out to Tetley (Tata Group) in 2005. They changed the ingredients and proportions, entirely eliminating papaya, panax ginseng root, and dandelion root.
