I have an older set that always dries out in between use. I bought this set to see how they work and they are great have been able to use after setting for several days. I like the finger grip which helps you hold pen correctly, plenty of cartridges and many colors to choose. Love the different pen holders with different colors so you can really keep the size separate. Just remove the insert and insert color of your choice with the color ink marker up and the narrow bottom down and push firmly until you get a click. It doesn’t take long for ink to flow.

Nice overall pen set, a lot is included at a great price. There is a great variety of ink cartridges and the ink has great consistency. I am not sure about the ink converters, I tried using them but the ink I used dried up in them very quickly. I had never used either the ink or the converters before, so I don't have a comparison for either, but it is nice that the converters are included. The pens are nice colors and comfortable to write with. There is a good variety of nibs, and they may not be the best quality but are good. This is a great set to get started with calligraphy, and for some these may be all you'll ever need. Calligraphy is fun and beautiful!

I bought this for my granddaughter as a birthday gift. She loved it. The only thing I wish is that it would have a booklet to show how to make some of the strokes. The quality of the pens and the nibs are fantastic.

Been doing calligraphy pen & ink since I was 10 years old, I wrote my sisters wedding invitations out by hand. These pens are not new to me, neither are the refilling cartridges. They leak from the side and it does not flow down the nib correctly. My fingers get all full of ink. Not a good value for your money. Can’t even write because they don’t work. There is no ease of use because they just don’t work!!!! They are cheap plastic pens that look pretty but can’t do much with but to look at them.

ALL OF THE PENS ARE BEAUTIFULLY PACKAGED, I REALLY LIKE THAT I DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE HEADS TO USE ONE BASE. THE FIRST PEN I TRIED TO USE IS THE SILVER PEN, I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS (AS VAGUE AS THEY ARE) AFTER PRESSING ON THE TIP OF THE SILVER PEN TO ALLOW IT TO PIERCE THE BUBBLE IN THE CARTRIDGE, I PRESSED MORE AND MORE WAITING TO HEAR THE CLICK, THERE WAS NO CLICK. THEN I SET THE PEN UPSIDE DOWN FOR THE NIGHT, AS DIRECTIONS SAID "FOR SOME TIME" I TRIED TO WRITE A LINE WITH IT TO NO AVAIL, BUT IN THE MORNING IT HAD ALL LEAKED INTO THE LID OF THE PEN. DUE TO THE BRACKET FOR CLIPPING INTO A POCKET, IT WAS NOT LEAK PROOF. THE ENTIRE VILE OF INK HAD LEAKED, AND WHEN I RAISED IT UP OUT OF THE CONTAINER I DIDN'T REALIZE IT COULD LEAK EVERYWHERE...WHICH IS WHAT IT DID. i ENDED UP WITH INK ON MY CLOTHES, HANDS ARMS AND THE WATER COLOR PAINTING I WAS WORKING ON AT THE TIME. NOT SURE WHAT WENT WRONG, BUT i SWITCHED FROM A BLACK CARTRIDGE TO MAKE IT OBVIOUS-IF IT WORKED 0R WAS RESIDUAL FROM THE LEAKING CARTRIDGE, AND NOTHING... I LOOKED INTO THE TIP WITH A LIGHT, AND CANNOT SEE ANYTHING TO PIERCE THE CARTRIDGES. BEING THE FINE BALL TIP, THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I PURCHASED THIS SET-TO CREATE A MIXED MEDIA PAINTING! BUMMED OUT NOW!

Just started with the pens and after figuring out how hard to push for the ink cartridge all is good. I would like to know how to purchase more cartridges. I do not see them on the site or on Amazon for the brank Tianren. Hopefully you do not need to buy the pens when you need to purchase more ink cartridges'.
