Good for a beginner (and beyond)
As a newer player, I still deal with finger soreness, and these strings help minimize it. They’re easy to install, even for beginners, and sound great. On my dreadnought, they offer a warm and balanced tone while remaining bright and clear. I’ve bought these twice and plan to keep using them. I may experiment with heavier guage in the future just to see how it changes the sound, but I am very happy with these as they are.

These stay my faves, over many comparisons...
I've used these and others on many guitars, and I keep going back to them. I've yet to find a guitar where these don't sound just right. Refined, smooth and clear. Last a long time. I like balanced tension lights, easy to play and so well balanced in range and character from string to string. The top end is as sweet and clear as any I've heard, with a bloat free lower range. Try 'em!

Great Strings!
These are excellent strings. So far they are like butter to play down the fretboard. They sound bright and lively. They are not very expensive and easy to play. As far as durability and longevity, I will have to see how they do. They sound great on my Martin.

D’Addario balanced tension acoustic strings
I purchased a set of the Nickel Bronze Balanced Tension sets for my Eastman acoustic. These are interesting strings. First, it’s got that instant vintage, warm, broken in tone of nickel bronze strings, which I really like. The balanced tension is just that— the strings all have the same tension, which on my 24.9” scale guitar lends itself to a softer feel and tone than I am used too— not necessarily a bad thing. It does have a very even feel when playing fingerstyle or flat picking that I like. I’m just not sure I would buy these strings again, but I don’t change strings very often, so they will get well used. By comparison, I have used Martin Retro monel strings and those are fantastic; the D’Addarios are a B+. But if you’re looking for a mellow tone and a softer string feel under tension, these may be right for you.

I keep coming back
I've tried dozens of different strings on my guitar journey and these remain my favorite for my playstyle- fingerstyle acoustic with nails. They are indeed unique. They resonate more than any other acoustic string I've tried. Tone is more variable than phosphor or 80/20 and depends more on the guitar itself and how you sound the strings themselves (sound great with a pick too!). I typically get about 1-2mos out of them in humid climate.

My new favorites
The soun$ they produce is well balanced and smooth. Not too bright but clearer than coated strings.

Best Strings
The playability of these strings are excellent and put out a real nice acoustic sound paired with my Takamine. I've noticed the hard chord changes becoming easier because (I'm guessing) of the "balanced tension". I went back to D'Addario for my electric and acoustic because the longevity and sound quality.

High E string broke the second time I played them
I installed these strings and tuned them up with an iPad app that is very precise. Using the app I have never had a string break. I got the guitar set up and in tune. I played it for about 10 minutes and put it in it's case. The next day I had to do a slight retune which I expected with new strings. Unfortunately when I turned the knob just slightly on the High E string popped at the tuner post.

Good quality but my b and e string started rusting.

The strings are beautifully balanced, with a mild metallic sound. Perfect for a light tension guitar with a high quality sound.

utterly gorgeous strings. They only sound better (and lose their initial twanginess) with age

Suono molto definito e ottimo sustain. Esteticamente poi interessanti!

Tuning stability is good. Long life, fantastic tone quality. Good rust protection capability
