If your dyson clipper is damaged, you might get persuaded by the brand reseller to purchase a whole new arm; hence, costing you a good $100. This item solved my problem. I regret not purchasing some extras for spare.

This trigger is a superior replacement to the original Dyson switch for many Dyson vacs. The original trigger only lasted about two years before it broke. I tried other triggers as replacements, but they broke quickly and were junk. I bought one of these triggers and it lasted for four or five years before finally breaking. I just bought this trigger again and installed it in my Dyson and it works great Because of the design of the Dyson VAC, the trigger will break overtime, no matter what but at least this trigger lasts a lot longer than the original. You can find good videos on YouTube for how to replace your trigger in your Dyson vac. It’s not that hard to replace. You just have to have the right kind of screwdrivers and a pair of needle nose pliers.
