Great price compared to sporting goods stores as well as other stores.I got one when I was doing physical therapy and have continued to use it. Very sturdy . I like that it came with several "risers" to make taller. My son has tried it and he is a big guy (more than weight max ) he didnt feel it bending or swaying from his weight at all. It doesnt move on floor I have hard woods. I like the non slip top. It is quite a workout even with no "risers" on it. I use it in the living room bc it is easy to store and I dont have to go all the way to my workout room to exercise, I can do it in between commercials. There was no assembly just pull out of box and use.

I recently started stepping again after finding a fabulous instructor on YouTube. Stepping will never be as much fun as a group class in studio, but being able to workout in my garage without the hassle of driving to a gym is worth it (and there are so few step classes near me!). I got a step at another retailer without looking closely at the dimensions, and sadly, it was a shorter step than I was used to using. I watched for a deal on this step, and happily ordered it when it was on sale. It's perfect-just what I was looking for! Nice and sturdy and exactly the right size.

I am generally happy with this step bench. In terms of quality, it’s equal to Reebok or Les Mills. It’s also the right length. (After studying various benches, it became apparent that many benches that looked suitable were not very long. Pay attention to the measurements! The one disappointment is that the risers do not snap onto the bench—at least mine don’t snap into place. The bench is still sturdy and does not wobble, but it’s a bit of a nuisance when it comes time to putting it away. I am used to the risers snapping to the bench. I just pick up the entire apparatus and put it away. Because these risers do not snap into place, I have to make two or three separate trips to the closet where I store my bench—one trip for the bench; one trip for 2 risers; maybe a third trip if I haven’t managed to grab all four risers at once. Given that I have a bar, weight plates, and hand weights to put away, it’s a bit of a production.

It’s very easy to adjust the height from 4” to 6” to 8”. Not too heavy to handle for this 82-year-old. The surface is “grippy” enough to avoid slipping on it. I would have liked one just a few inches shorter in length than this one (it’s 42” overall, with a 35” tread), but for an active workout this is probably an ideal length. The width is perfect. I’m using it as a step platform to help my knees, ankles and hips. It’s very sturdy—-even with the length, it doesn’t “give” when I step on it.
