This is an adapter for a NEMA 14-50 receptacle to allow you to use it for a 6-20 plug. If you’re confused about p and r, they stand for plug and receptacle. We are using this for a plug in car and it works perfectly! You want something sturdy enough to manage the high electrical current and this will do it. This can also be used for generators depending on your plug type. I am very pleased

Since my generator only has a 50 Amp receptacle, I needed a way to adapt this so I could some of my 20/220 tools, and this plug allowed me do do exactly that. I usually make my own plugs, but I don't think I could have made a plug with this quality and at a lesser price. Although I have read where some thought it was over priced, the application and quality of this plug, definitely justifies the price.

Converts a 14-50P into three 6-20R, all at 240volts. The cable comes with with multiple tags, one says rated for 7500 watts the other says 'Temporary Use Only'According to the AC-Works website the single 6-20R adapter cable is rated for 5000 watts.

Using this for a table saw and dust collector on a 50amp breaker. No issues and once I changed the wall plug, plugged right in. Great if you need more than 1 220 outlet for lower amperage tools.

Much more expensive than Chinese products but the quality is impeccable. Feels sturdy and the connections are tight and secure.

Exactly as advertised. Saved me from having to change out the outlet or changing the cord on my air compressor.

Quite expensive but absolutely sturdy and does the job. When plugged in the 6-20 receptor is facing down. So if you have some rather heavy stuff dragging the plug might need to make sure it doesn't fall loose.

I’m sure if I received the proper cord it would have been great! Now I have to ship this back and get the proper one!
