Every time I have to shred my cheese I always get this out from the cabinet, even though I have the electric one. Works great and looks adorable, very easy to wash. Great value. I’ll definitely buy this again. Totally recommended!!

I love this little kitchen tool.. Makes homesteading so much easier. And you can go to the GEEDEL site and by replacement parts, or just extras. It makes Hashbrowns, and grating a block of cheese so quick and efficiently. We have several. We have one for our home and camping.

Update: I feel like an idiot...I had this facing the wrong way and didn't realize it has a dial that activates the suction cup, which works perfectly and anchors it securely to the kitchen counter. With that being in working order, this device is great! I've already easily grated a chunk of parmesan cheese and am ready to go to town with my zucchini! Original Review: I just got this and was really excited because I have a bunch of zucchini to shred and freeze and I have to say that I'm really disappointed and bummed that my model's suction apparently doesn't work at all. I got the lavender color model, and I have smooth granite countertops. No suction whatsoever. I made sure the surface was clean, tried it with a dry suction cup, wetting the suction cup, no cigar. The device still does what it's supposed to do, it's just that I have to press down very hard when I'm rotating the arm because it just keeps lifting off the counter and there's no way to keep it in place without me pressing down very hard to keep it from lifting off the counter. I read through the instructions to make sure there wasn't something I was missing about engaging the suction and I didn't see that I needed to do anything special. Really disappointed.

Wow this is great! It’s very easy and very fast! The suction cups to hold it in place while you grate is so nice too!
