Lodge Chef Collection 12.5 Inch Wok

I am very pleased with this wok in every way possible. It's American made, which is a big plus for me. It's solid and well made. It is heavy, so be careful when placing in on a glass-top stove. Being heavy, once you set it in place, it stays there while you are stirring. For two people, the size is perfect. It cooks/works very well, and the heat distribution is spot on. I would gladly purchase this wok again. God bless America, and stay safe out there!

I am elated to have a cast iron wok. I did not know that they were made like a cast iron skillet but that’s what I wanted and that’s what I received. It is pre seasoned, but of course you wash and re-season it before use. It cooks well and evenly and when you need to slow the process down flip it to the side. Merry Christmas to me. I got the 12 inch size and the weight is not too heavy but it is cast iron. Food tastes great. And cleaning is easy, I’ve been doing it all my life. I keep it on my stove and it looks great.

I have purchased many cast iron cookware and love them. The heat distribution is great the pan gets hot evenly and you must use oven mitts or handle holder to hold the pan. They come in many different sizes and the quality is very high and recommended. Because they are cast iron the weight varies depending on the size of the pan. It is also a dual functional pan you can use on the stove top and in the oven.

heavy but so easy to cook with! may be a tad big - 10" would have been better for me.

This thing is bigger than the Lodge dutch pot. Much larger than I expected. It comes preseasoned, but I washed it slightly , heated it until dry then put oil it before using it. I also found it necessary to warm up that pan for 15 minutes on medium heat before adding food to it, when using it on an electric stove. I wanted the entire to be warm, not just the center at the bottom. That worked out very well. I cooked on medium high heat, then immediately removed my stir fry vegetables to a serving dish, since the Lodge Wok will continue to cook your food after you turn the stove off.

My Son Bought this and he LOVES it. He wanted a Iron Wok just like Mines I bought several years ago of a differen Brand.

It’s small but it will cook my one egg I eat!!!
