Enough material to make a full body pickguard and cavity cover.
Bought this to make a new scratchplate for an old 1970's Japanese made P Bass for which, a standard p bass scratchplate will not fit at all.It looks fantastic, to be honest. 4ply acrylic, white, black, white with tortoise shell on the top.Can't wait to get started, just need a few more things first.

High Quality Pickguard Material - Real Celluloid Film
This material is great! Like previous reviews state, it is truly a 4-ply pickguard where the top layer is Tortoise Celluloid film. It looks really nice and its quality far exceeds the price you pay. I had enough to make 2 Mustang bass pickguards. The sheet is really thick and easy to work with.I've bought a white pearl strat pickguard by IKN before and it also looked great. Their pearl and tortoise material are the real deal. The attached picture is the pickguard I made from this material.

Great material, great price!
Made a Custom pickguard for a build with the brown tort. Easy to work, not smelly, and looks perfect. Very satisfied. Will go to this supplier for my next pickguard.

Very small tort swirl and thin
Material I received did not look like sample displayed in listing - The tort swirl is much smaller than traditional tortoise material and also its a bit green. Not yellow or amber, but green (photo w traditional tort pickguard). I could live w the off color shade but the swirl pattern is so small it just doesnt look very good. It looks more like mottled plastic than natural tort. Usually 3ply tort material is realistic looking but this material's odd pattern makes its fairly obvious the material is fabricated w photo-repro plastic.Also this material is very thin. I dont have calipers to advise precise thickness, but it's so thin it sits below the various metal plates which go along w finished pickguard.

Size not as advertised
Product description says dimensions are 12 x 17". I measured mine carefully (twice) and it measures 11.5 x 17". Good quality material and design. Good buy but beware if you are depending on exact size. In my project, I needed a piece 12 x 7. Since this piece is 11.5" wide instead of 12" wide, I had to cut the material differently and thereby wasted a piece of material 4.5" x 12"
