I love this book and was very excited to have it in an audio format, but there appears something went wrong with the cd. They glitch and skip in many places. The CDs look fine, no scratches or dings. I returned the first set and got another only to get the same crap audio. very disappointing.

..and getting ready for another go. The in-story where the German scientist is at the lake where he used to take his daughter is heartbreakingly evanescent.

Pynchon is almost without peer-an incredible tale about almost everything!

Great literature. owing a good deal to Joyce's Ulysses. But, long, long, and a difficult read.
