Nice, and check out the 2 year warranty!
I honestly cannot tell the difference in this and my other small and a lot less expensive LED tactical flashlights of the same size, The functions are similar, and so is the weight, maybe over time I will notice it has better longevity and other factors that make it a superior torch. Sadly, I may not be the one to really know what the differences are, I just know when I turn them on side by side, I don't see that much that that make my more economical ones a lesser buy! This is a nice metal flashlight and it is convenient to put into a purse, pocket, or glove box. it has a flasher, and several beam settings casting lots of light for camping, dog-walking etc. plus 2 hidden features it states? It has a silicone hood cover, and even a magnetic end cap so you can go "Hands-Free." My favorite part, and this probably ends my argument over why it is superior, it is rechargeable, so no buying batteries-just use the USB-c cord and recharge it when it needs it! Yeah, the more I write about it, the more it seems worth the price. This is a very nice and extremely reliable flashlight, and the 2 year repair warranty is really excellent!

This is an EDC18 without Anduril and it's nice
Updated review 7/5.The first one I received was DOA. The button would not illuminate and it would not switch on. I tried another battery too, so that wasn't it. I returned it for a replacement. The second one worked exactly how I hoped it would for 2 weeks until stopped working. Pressing the button would make the light flash once and nothing else. So I gave it a crappy review and was boxing up the second one for return when I noticed something. The head and battery tube weren't screwed tightly together. After twisting it the last 1/2 turn to make it tight, the light started working normally again. I was quite surprised, because I assumed that all it needed to work was contact with a good battery. Obviously, it had battery contact because it could make the button green and light flash, but the light would not switch on until screwed tight. It happened to me a second time on a camping trip. The head had backed itself off a half turn or so again. It was probably from playing with the diffuser cap a lot.I don't which LEDs are used in the EDC18L, but they have a natural color temperature that isn't blue dominant. I don't know if they are considered high CRI or not, but they have decent color rendition. I also like the nice floody beam pattern. The button is illuminated just the right amount to find the light in the dark without being a distraction when sleeping with it nearby. It was a really nice feature to have when camping. When stored in a kitchen drawer, I unscrew the tail cap a little bit until the button light goes out, to save the battery. The UI of the EDC18L is simple. It does not come with Anduril like the standard EDC18 sold by Lumintop, and therefore its feature set is much more limited. For most people, that's a good thing because Anduril's complexity is over-the-top.I don't like the glow in the dark diffuser and glow ring. When I use it in the middle of the night, I don't care for the lingering glow after you turn it off. The diffuser makes a nice protective cap for the lens and for keeping the button clean, but I will remove the glow ring when I get around to it.My other gripe is that when I ordered the light, the product description clearly stated that the battery was not included. The second light I received had a battery, and the Amazon page has since been updated to indicate the battery is included. If I had known this when I ordered, I would have ordered the standard EDC18 from Lumintop which doesn't come with a battery. I have too many 18650 cells as it is and half of my reason for selecting the EDC18 was that I could buy the bare light without battery.

Nice light, rubbish battery
With the purchase of a brand new light I would expect a brand new battery, the one I received appears to be a previously used battery as it has spot weld marks on both ends and a rather used label plus it must have a very low capacity as in my initial testing of the light it only lasted for 13 minutes on high and then when I put it in a standard bay style charger the charger indicated it was full and wouldn’t initiate a charge cycle by turning red. No clue as to the brand of the battery the label is unreadable as you can see in the pictures along with the spot weld marks on both contacts indicating a used battery or very poorly manufactured.
