Works with XBOX X and LG OLED
To get the best out of your Xbox X, you have to be using HDMI 2.1 components, **NOT** HDMI 2.0. You'll need an HDMI 2.1 cable from the Xbox to this device, and then an HDMI 2.1 cable from this device to your TV. For audio I used the light pipe from the device to my older Yamaha receiver with Dolby digital. I was able to get full 4K resolution at 120KHZ, fantastic Dolby digital sound with this set up. No weirdness, no glitches, no flickering screens, zero problems. I highly recommend doing some research on the settings for audio and video on your Xbox X, to get the best experience. Honestly, I feel like it's pretty ridiculous that the Xbox X is so expensive and it doesn't have a built-in audio out separate from the HDMI like the older Xbox one did. The first audio extraction box I tried it wasn't HDMI 2.1 it was HDMI 2.0 and it made the screen flicker and do all kinds of weird cut outs and then the screen would just turn off. Then I found out about the HDMI 2.1 situation and once I made sure that this device and the two cables were HDMI 2.1 everything works so nicely. I'm really happy it worked out because it saved me a bunch of money on a new receiver. Highly recommended

Absolute junk
Tried it with my Xbox Series X and it maxed out at 640x480 and didn’t give any audio output. Stopped working after about 10 minutes and will not turn back on no matter what cables or power I give it. Save your time and just get something better.

Simple to use and works as advertised
I needed this to feed 4K 60 FPS HDR (BT.2020) from 2 sources to one 30ft HDMI (optical) run while extracting 5.1 audio to an older home theater receiver. I went with this one for the higher supported bit rate to try to future proof my purchase. This product simply works with no handshake issues or downgrades in video quality. I wish all connections were on the same side but I knew that going in, obviously. Before I turned everything on, I was worried that the audio wouldn't sync to the video but that turned out not to be the case. I don' need to switch inputs all that often, so the simple pushbutton input selector is all I need.

Overal great except that Dolby Vision did not work
Everything was performing as hoped for with this with one exception. I got this for use with my AWOL projector to connect it to my Roku Ultra and split Optical audio out to my reciever. It was performing great with UHD and there was no problem with HDR10 video and sending audio Dolby atmos to my surround receiver. BUT, when I tried to watch a movie in Dolby Vision the screen went blank. Other than that it was good.

No Warranty
Product worked for about 3 months then the audio started cutting/ducking out every few seconds. I contacted the manufacturer via email to inquire about their warranty to which they replied that they only accept returns from Amazon within 30 days of purchase. They claim to be an American company but they offer no warranties and the products are junk. Stay away and buy something else.

Works perfectly
Picked this up to be able to connect my Astro TR mixamp with the fiber optic cable for use with my PS5, had one before but it was only 1080p pass through so I wasn’t getting the full 4K experience of the PS5. As soon as I powered on the PS5 after connecting this adapter it had me set up the HDR. Performed the output test and confirmed it was giving 4K. Price is definitely worth it for what you get especially being able to pass through 120hz, and I could only find other adapters that supported up to 60hz at 4K. I haven’t ran into any issues yet but I did just barely connect it.

Screen goes black for about 5-10 seconds every few minutes...
This device functions perfectly in every other way EXCEPT FOR THE FACT that the entire screen loves to go black for a few seconds every few minutes. This is NOT a problem with my TV, because this NEVER happens when the HDMI is plugged in directly to the TV. It only happens when using this adapter. This is EXTREMELY frustrating and and disappointing and makes this product nearly useless. I'm sick and tired of being in the middle of a game and having my experience completely destroyed by the screen going black every few minutes for no reason. If only the company that made it was competent enough to fix this problem, THEN this product would be perfect...

Worked good but has no power source, just a usb cable. Used a cube phone charger, after a while it stopped working. Used a full size fast charger, both samsung and this one eventually stopped working once HDR content was enabled. Now using a UPC power bar with USB to power it, hope it doesn't burn that one out too. I wouldn't power it from a usb device you may rely on, including a laptop. The cube charger I originally used overheats now while charging a phone, but still worked for that function. Not a wonder why they don't supply a power source for it......

I bought a similar but cheaper product. It was defective in both toslink & Analog, This device is expensive, relatively, but works & received high marks in an independent review. It has one quirk. The HDMI output only provides video, when toslink/optical cable is connected. If you want to alternate between entertainment system sound & TV sound easily, you need an HDMI splitter, ahead of this unit. Sound quality is good. Big test- will it last? Purchase was made necessary as my new TV box came with only HDMI output. No toslink or coax links.

Pequeño. Fácil instalacion. No me gustó. Se calienta y al tocarlo se va la señal de video por un instante.
