Best ESE coffee pods I have tried, including better than Lavazza. I usually order the black or blue pods. Black is strongest espresso. Lovely aroma! Makes a nice crema. I am using a cheap 5-in-1 coffee maker/19 pressure bar machine by Hibrew. I also love that machine because it has a specific paper pod ESE filter. These pods will NOT work in a regular espresso machine, as they need the special metal holder that forces water through them and not around the pod. I sold my expensive espresso machine, went with this $140 machine, but I can still make a Keurig plastic pod, regular coffee grounds, etc. I also bought a cheap magnetic hot/cold milk frother. My morning capuccinos rival a coffee house. Also, if you are looking for a great tasting sweetener that doesn't taste like junk and raise your glucose, check out allulose. I put a sprinkle in my milk in the frother. For milk frothing, ultra processed milk works best, even lactose free.

Tried Nera, great flavor, obviously easy to use, and price is right. Prefer Illy but not at the Illy price. My only complaint is that it seems that about 1 out of 10 pods does not brew strong, with good creme. Come out a little thin and not as robust.

These pods were what was being used by a 4-star resort in the Dominican Republic for all their espresso drinks. I returned home, bought a Hibrew 5-in-1 machine that included a chamber for ESE pods. These pods taste better than Lavazza. The Miscela Nera black was the darkest roast flavor, followed closely by their blue. Every cup tastes fresh and dark. Makes beautiful crema on top. SO easy to use compared to loose grounds!

DONT BUY THIS COFFEE! NON RETURNABLE! AND DOENT WORK IN A KERIG! JUST RECEIVED IT TRIED IT IN MY KERIG ONLY TO FIND WATER IN MY MILK! TRIED AGAIN. AND AGAIN NOTHING! Yes I kno how to use this! FALSE ADVERTISING ! DOESNT WORK U GET WATER RUNNING DOWN THE COFFEE POD ! NO COFFEE! HORRIBLE NOW I HAVE NO COFFEE THIS MORN! AND OH” CANT RETURN OR REFUND THIS!!! GRRRRRRR DONT BOTHER SAFE UR MONEY!

I'm not a coffee expert, so I probably won't use all the right terms, but here goes. My first experience with making espresso at home was with Caffe Borbone "Blue". It was great! I then tried Lavazza (Gran Crema) and Illy (black ribbon) as a comparison, even though they are usually more expensive. After trying those brands, I still liked the Caffe Borbone "Blue" better. So when that supply ran out, I tried the Caffe Borbone "Black". The scant information available seemed to indicate the Black was a mix of Blue and Red (Arabica and Robusta). So after a few lattes made with the Black, I can say that I like it a lot. It is a little more "acidic" than the Blue, but I am guessing that's because it has some Robusta in it. It also packs a bigger punch (caffeine) than the blue. The blue and the black have both been very consistent with their output, as in crema, no thin shots, etc. Overall a very good product and great value.

Preis Leistung top! Der Geschmack ist vorzüglich und vor allem bildet sich so ein leichter Schaum beim brühen, was ist ja lecker macht.

I am enjoying the efficiency and lack of mess/cleanup associated with ESE pod/pads. I use them for Americanos and cappuccinos/lattes. We compost the used pod but don't recycle the foil packaging. I find the strength somewhat insufficient but still experimenting. Overall positive.

La Miscela Nera in cialda compostabile (50 cialde ) di Caffè Borbone è uno di quei rari prodotti che, già dalla prima tazzina, ti fanno capire subito perché tanti ne parlano: è deciso senza essere grezzo, corposo ma equilibrato, e ( cosa non da poco ) pensato anche per chi vuole una soluzione pratica con un occhio all’ambiente. Aroma e prima impressione: la busta apre su un profumo tostato, con note di cioccolato fondente e cacao amaro che arrivano nette ma mai invadenti. Versata la tazzina, la crema è scura, compatta e persistente , dettaglio che per molti amanti dell’espresso è una garanzia di qualità. Al primo sorso arriva il corpo pieno, sensazione di tostatura marcata , un retrogusto leggermente amarognolo che richiama caffè in polvere di qualità , e una scia aromatica che resta piacevole sul palato. Gusto e struttura: la Miscela Nera punta sull’intensità. Non è la miscela “dolce” o floreale: è fondata su corposità e persistenza , ideale per chi ama l’espresso robusto, magari con un goccio di latte o per chi lo gradisce “nero”. L’acidità è moderata, quasi impercettibile, quindi è perfetta anche per chi preferisce bevande più rotonde e meno taglienti. In termini pratici, la sensazione in bocca è di un caffè pieno, caldo e confortante: perfetto al mattino ma anche come momento “energetico” durante la giornata. Praticità e compatibilità: le cialde ESE sono comode e offrono dosaggi costanti: ogni tazzina ha la stessa intensità, senza sprechi. Le cialde sono dichiarate compostabili , per chi usa macchine compatibili ESE significa poter gettare la cialda nel compost domestico (o nella raccolta organica dove previsto) senza l’onere della plastica, riducendo l’impatto ambientale rispetto alle capsule tradizionali. Conservazione e consigli d’uso: mantenere la confezione chiusa e al riparo da luce e umidità; se possibile consumare entro la data consigliata per preservare aroma e crema. Per un risultato ottimale con macchina a leva o automatica con portacialda, scalda bene la macchina e servi subito: la crema e i profumi sono più evidenti appena estratto. Se ami l’espresso corto, ottieni una tazzina concentrata; per un lungo, la struttura rimane comunque piacevole. Differenze con le altre miscele Borbone (utile per scegliere): Miscela Rossa: solitamente descritta come la “classica” napoletana , più dolce, con una crema soffice e note caramellate. Se cerchi rotondità e un gusto più “avvolgente”, la Rossa è più indicata rispetto alla Nera. Miscela Blu: tende a essere più equilibrata e aromatica, con un profilo meno tostato e più orientato alle note aromatiche e fruttate rispetto alla Nera. Miscela Oro: spesso proposta come più pregiata/raffinata, con tostatura meno aggressiva e un bouquet più delicato; ideale per chi predilige eleganza aromatico/gustativa piuttosto che intensità. Decaffeinato / “Dek”: mantiene in genere parte dell’aromaticità del caffè ma ovviamente senza caffeina; più indicata per chi vuole il gusto senza l’effetto stimolante. Quindi, rispetto a queste, la Miscela Nera si posiziona come la scelta per chi vuole forza, corpo e un caffè che “si faccia sentire” , perfetta per chi ama l’espresso intenso o per chi desidera utilizzarlo anche con latte senza perdere carattere. Per chi lo consiglio: a chi cerca un espresso forte e coerente, a chi usa macchine ESE e vuole una soluzione più sostenibile rispetto alle capsule, e a chi gradisce un caffè con un retrogusto deciso e persistente. Se preferisci bevande più delicate o aromatiche, prova prima la Rossa o la Blu; se invece ami il carattere, la Nera non deluderà. Un ultimo appunto personale : la prima volta che l’ho assaggiata, è stata la classica tazzina che mi ha fatto mettere il telefono da parte per concentrarmi sul sapore , segno che, per me, ha raggiunto l’obiettivo di rendere la pausa caffè un momento vero. Se cerchi comodità, intensità e una scelta più “green” rispetto alle capsule, questa confezione da 50 cialde è un’ottima soluzione.
