Great product
Nice and heavy and the grip looks like it will last forever. Got this mainly to stop bacon curling and the fat not crisping, does the same for chops/steak, big enough for 2 smallish burgers. Great value product

Grill master recommended!
I gave this to my favourite grill master. He really likes it, and it seems effective. If I had a grill, I would get one of these for myself. It seems to be good value for money too.

Excellent piece of kit
There is a review on this complaining that it rusted after the first use. This is cast iron so yes it will rust if not properly seasoned and oiled, wash it once and then rinse it. Then heat it up to a very high heat and oil it! It never needs to be washed again just re-oiled. I have used mine for steaks and burgers and it is superb!

Great
Bought this for our iron anniversary novelty gift! Big enough to cover two burgers or a steak. Husband loves it and uses it frequently on the BBQ and frying pan. Nicely packaged also (my review is from owning the product for 7 months)

You need a very large pan or griddle
If it's for a pan check the internal measurements against the iron

Disgustingly rusty
Used once cleaned and dried straight away. Now disgustingly rusty. Returned.

I’m very happy with this grill press, the quality is excellent, and it works really well. For those concerned about rust: yes, it’s cast iron, and like any cast iron product, it will rust if not properly cared for. The key is to keep it completely dry after cleaning. Here’s how I take care of mine: After each use, I give it a thorough scrub and rinse with hot water (no detergent), then immediately dry it with a tea towel. To make sure all moisture is gone, I place it on a low gas flame or in a warm oven for a few minutes. Once it’s completely dry and cooled down, I store it with my other cookware. I don’t bother with oils or sprays, just keeping it dry and away from moisture does the trick. One thing to note: check the size before buying to make sure it fits your pans. I made the mistake of not measuring first, and it turned out to be too large for my cast iron skillets. So I can only use it on the BBQ at the moment, but I’ll definitely be getting a smaller one too, because these presses are fantastic.

Great product! Perfect weight for putting a nice, even sear on steaks. Really like the handle. Wash, dry, and oil. Easy if you know how to take care of cast iron. No issues with any rust. I think it is worth the effort. I liked it so much, I bought the round burger press as well.
