For $50, I'm truly impressed with this game set! You get a very thick, high-quality game board, two baskets, more than 300 stones, a book that tells you the rules, history, and etiquite of the game, and a nice zipper storage bag for the two baskets full of stones.For better or worse, the board itself doesn't fold up, so you're making a commitment to store an 18.5x17.25 inch board that's nearly an inch thick. It's huge! But it has the classic Go board on one side and a smaller version on the other side, and it's very nicely made.The book begins by apologizing for any mistakes due to being the author's first time writing a book in English. Despite a few mistakes, it's still very easy to read and interesting, talking about the history of Weiqi, the strategy, and the myths surrounding the origins of what is likely the world's oldest board game.My wife and I played a while, and it's pretty fun, seeing the strategies and counter-strategies. One of those "minutes to learn, lifetime to master" kind of games.Overall, I think this is an outstanding value and a very nice set. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice set of Weiqi/Go - either as a gift or as to setup in your home. Very good product!

Holy cats! I did NOT expect this set to be this cool. The wood is a lovely quality and has a rich, glowing, colour. The baskets are beautifully woven. The pieces are ceramic...and not just lightweight...they have a wonderful feel to them. None of that awful plastic. The spare pieces are a nice touch for those that end up rolling under the sofa where you can't get them. This whole set is just so gorgeous that i can't even be mad at the bit where with all this top quality material, they made the case out of poly. It has a beautiful print on it, so i completely forgive it. I can't wait to have a day when my friend can come over and whup me, as usual. The bit where he'll be drooling with envy over my board will totally make up for the game loss. (I'll beat him, one day. Yes. Yes, i will.)
