Son loves it and that is all that matters! A bit more $$ than I was wanting to spend, so hoping it is worth it in the long run. We are hoping he will take it out soon and give it a "live trial" for camping, hiking and back country hunting in the Montana and Colorado mountains. He says it will definitely be more comfortable than a "cheaper" hammock. Weight is a little more then he was expecting which throws off his pack weight. Unsure of the durability at this time, hoping it lasts awhile. Assembly was ok, a bit awkward but maybe once he gets more used to it and comes up with what works best for him, it will get easier and fast. It is a tent, ultimately, so warmth is not an "option" but he has a great light weight, deep freeze bag so should be good to go. LOVES the under storage, however, we have excessive bear counts near us, so stringing up is 1st line of avoidance and non-edible storage underneath.

I’ve had a chance to field test this a few times, and I have no complaints. It’s very well put together and comes with everything you need. The only thing I had an issue with was the tension on the stability straps, but that was on the first use. I now know to tighten them much more. Everything about this product is amazing. It’s not just a hammock, it’s a bivouac off the ground! The zippers are a great quality, the hammock is roomy, comfortable and has places to hang things (hooks at either end) and store things (interior pockets). And if that wasn’t enough, the added storage below the hammock will accommodate all your bigger items. I had my pack, tool, fishing rod and tackle box in it, and had room for more. I wish it had a compartment to throw a mat or other such thing in, as it does get cold fast, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I now use a smaller down filled bag, with a heftier down filled bag on top, and that is ample warmth. I say this as a resident of Northern Canada. Coldest night in it so far was 4degrees Celsius, and I was toasty. I can’t recommend this highly enough!

I have used my Nightcat Flatlay Hammock numerous times through the 2023 and 2024 camping seasons, and I definitely like it. I'm 6'2", 275lbs, and this thing supports me very well, even with a 75lb Pitty onboard, it feels very secure. I have purchased the underquilt for winter camping, and an offbrand tarp and poles just for extra rain projection. As it comes, I have not gotten wet, yet. I would suggest: Once one circles the tree with the lower straps, cross them over, so left strap goes to right side, right strap goes to left side. it definitely adds extra rigidity to prevent/eliminate any feelings of "flipping over" or "falling out". Fantastic sleep system. WARNING: like all tents, it is NOT flame proof, so embers from camp fires will make holes, Gorilla Tape and Super Glue are your best friends here. (Other reason for the extra tarping) I recommend this product.

I've used this about 3 times now and it's kind of hard to get set app to where it doesn't feel like you're gonna fall out of it if you can double wrap the supporting straps around the tree base. It really helps also if the trees are wide that really helps with stability. It's very comfortable to land I use a climate V-2. Sleeping Pad inside so comfy. it's perfect size For me i'm 6'1 about a hundred and eighty five pounds. I got this because I didn't want a traditional style hammock. Because it seems kind of awkward to land and I see a lot of complaints of being shaped like a banana. But this seems to be perfect for me. It is a bit heavy for backpacking. But I do mostly car camping so it's not really a problem. The package size is very small. It's actually smaller than my sleeping bag. Packed up, there is only one con that I can think of and it's the rainfly. It's extremely flappy and it doesn't seem to like be very tight around the top of the hammock, but it seems well made. The bottom is very heavy duty. I did get caught in a few very heavy thunderstorms. And I did not have any issue with getting wet inside the only moisture that I had Inside seems to be from either the condensation from breathing or something. But the top gets very wet. But I was camping in really cool conditions around 40° at night. I didn't get to see how well the bug net works. Because there was no bugs because it was so cold. But definitely an awesome little tent hammock thingy I really enjoy it
