Works great with my external HDs... not working with SD cards though.. still 5 stars... external HDs work at great speed! I love the switches too... turn on or off... you chose! I am very happy with my purchase... NO influence or promotion here... just an honest review.

The product works great and it is what I needed

As a USB hub, it does the job, however it falls down as a card reader. Specifically, not only does it frequently fail to read cards, but those that it does read are slow as molasses. The included power supply keeps me from worrying about enough power to the ports. I like the convenience of being able to turn off ports without unplugging devices.

Just getting around to writing this review. Good news is I've been using it for several months without issue. Best feature is the external power source. I've got several.hard drives plugged into it and regularly turn the connection on and off. Switches per port are helpful.

UPDATE: It appears that the problems were stemming from a different device. Now the HUB seems to be working fine. Will update if I have problems. For now I've changed it to 5 stars as it wouldn't be fair to leave it at 1. Like many of the other reviews, mine is defective. Sometimes it recognizes USB devices and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, Windows will spam you about how there's a problem with the device. No amount of moving it to different ports, using the USB-C adapter or anything will get it to stop giving you this message. I thought it was just me and I was doing something wrong, but it's not--this thing fails at it's most basic functionality. It's outside of the return window so I get to just throw it in the trash. Really disappointing, it even has a card reader on it which I didn't try out, so maybe that works, but I don't care, I need a working USB 3.0 powered hub!

Product would not work. Power supply cord was dead. I did have a spare of the same size mercifully. However, on testing, the product was stuck in an eternal cycle of connecting and disconnecting. I tried doing various driver updates, including deleting the computer usb drivers entirely and restarting to fresh reinstall them all. Nothing stopped the constant connect/disconnecting. Notably, everything plugged into the extender did not share thos same issue. My keyboard remained constantly on. Returned with the bad power cord that was included. I have a different Wenter device for a different computer that is still working great. Its why I had an extra cable to test with. The usb-C convertor is a nice touch with this product, as well as the micro sd slots. I may attempt this product again in the future as my other Wenter device does not have these features. Hopefully I just got a faulty kit.

This powered usb hub has worked exactly as advertised. I use it in my home office with my laptop. The laptop has only one usb input. This allows me to use several at the same time. My external monitor, a scanner, and my wireless keyboard/mouse stay plugged in all the time. The SD/Micro SD slots are very useful as I am an amature photographer. The ability to turn off individual usb ports is great. For instance, I usually turn off the scanner until I want to use it. The extra cables took me a while to find the best way to run, but worth the issue.
