Dimmable white light with a softening lense. It can really pour on the intensity if needed. I have this acting as a webcam light source that doubles as a overhead lamp for my workspace. I have it mounted directly behind my monitor and standing over the top at a downward angle. It's big enough and the filter soft enough to not create sharp shadows on your face and behind you. I put it on a smart outlet so I can turn it off and on by voice. It will retain the last dimming setting, so turning it on and off does not require you to reset light levels. The remote is a little odd, as it needs to be turned on to interact with the lamp. Still it is more convenient than having to interact with the back of the light to adjust light levels.

The NEEWER GL1 PRO is a solid LED light. Highly recommended. I am not an expert, as a starter the light comes with everything you need. The control app on PC/MAC/Smartphone makes it very easy to set the light where you like it. It is small and light enough to be stowed away if not using. Just keep the cardboard box case it comes in. If I need more light source, I think I will set a second one. I got the silver model which was discounted. The price is so good that I am tempted to purchase a second one even if I really don't need it at the moment. One GL1 Pro provides abundant light already. The only issue is I can't connect it via WIFI, but it is non-issue because I can control it with 2.4G USB dongle and bluetooth. Anyone who wants to start experimenting with LED light should check this out.

STRONG LIGHT, good quality, easy to use. Its great for a desk set up, would only recommend stationary use not made for traveling the lights are pretty big. I think its a great value compared to over big brand lights on the market and it is obviously super high quality.

I own five Neewer LED panels I use for music and talking head video in a small studio. They're too large for use at my computer desk, so I bought the NEEWER GL1 Pro. It's not nearly as soft as even a 12 x 12 softbox, but it is bright enough I can turn it around and bounce off the wall for a softbox-like effect. Amazon's product listing claims this panel is 15.5 inches, but that measurement is wrong: the panel only is 11.5 inches wide, not including the frame. If you include the frame, it's 13 inches. The actual specs further down the product page have the correct measurements. So the GL1 Pro is a little smaller than the Elgato Keylight. It appears well made with a metal outer shell, metal 1/4 inch tripod socket, screen for power and color temperature, and physical controls. Compared to my other Neewer LED panels, the physical controls are tiny and fiddly. You'll want to use Wi-Fi or the 2.4 GHz dongle to control it. It's heavy for the size, so lock it down tight on the decent quality supplied ball head. Unlike most panels of this side, it can't use Canon or Sony batteries, so you're limited to use with a wall wart. Color temp is a notch warmer than my other lights, so if you mix lights, you may have to cool the Neewer 1 or 2K. After installing the Neewer Control Center app, I was able to sync with Wi-Fi immediately on my Mac Studio M4 running Mac OS 15.5. The app is basic, but brightness and white balance are easy to control with sliders. It also works with my Elgato Stream Deck Neo: on/off, levels, WB, etc. Oddly, the Neewer Control Center app needs to be on for the Stream Deck to control the GL1, so not a seamless integration with Stream Deck compared to the Elgato Keylight system. You have to wait for the Newer app to load and connect to the Stream Deck—about 10 seconds on my Mac Studio. Once loaded and connected, control is almost instant. It's a bit undersized, and Stream Deck integration is bit weak, but all in all, a nice light for desktop use: bright, good quality of illumination, multiple control options that work, and well made.

Comes with the light itself, pole, and charger with cable. The Brightness is incredibly bright for a small room, it does fall off if im trying to illuminate the whole room instead of just 1 or 2 walls. Super easy to assemble, quite small and would require a C stand, Its quite short stand as is. Quality is great for 65$ and the app is decent, simple to use.

These Neewer lights are EXCELLENT for streaming and make for a great competition to Elgato lights. The lighting isn't harsh and it is easy to use these lights with digital controls. That said, I could not get the desktop application to work with the lights on Windows 10. However, I checked the phone app and the phone application works perfectly. You can turn the lights on/off with the phone app and change the light settings with ease. So long as you are comfortable using the phone application, and do not absolutely need the desktop version, you're good-to-go with these. Highly recommended for their great color, brightness, lack of harshness, and ease of use!

Fantastic key light. Extremely bright if need be and the perfect addition to my desk setup (clasps to the side of my desk with no issues). It has controls on the top of it but honestly the app works so well that I just stick to using that to control it. Definitely recommended.

I’ve been using the NEEWER GL25B key light for streaming and video content, and it’s a very solid light with professional-level features at a reasonable price. Brightness & Output: This light is very bright for its size. At full power, it easily lights up my face and workspace, even in a dim room. It’s more than enough for webcam calls, streaming, YouTube, or TikTok content. Color Temperature & Accuracy: The adjustable color temperature (2900K–7000K) is extremely useful. I can switch between warm, neutral, and cool tones depending on the lighting setup. Colors look natural, and skin tones appear accurate thanks to the high CRI rating. Dimming & Control: Brightness is fully adjustable, which makes it easy to fine-tune lighting without being harsh. I like that it can be controlled via the remote and PC/Mac app, which is very convenient when filming. Silent Operation: There is no fan noise, which is a huge plus for recording videos or streaming. The edge-emitting design makes the light soft and even, reducing harsh shadows. Desk Stand & Setup: The desk stand is sturdy and easy to set up. The light panel feels solid and well-built. It doesn’t take up much space, which is great for small desks or home studios. Overall: If you’re looking for a powerful, adjustable, and silent key light for streaming, video calls, or content creation, this is a great choice. It’s versatile, bright, and easy to control.

Purchased this to enhance my home office for teleconferencing. The light works exactly as described, and generally exceeded my expectations. It is reliable, and produces a clean and diffuse light. The remote works relatively well, although you may need to press the buttons a few times to get it to work. Overall, this is a solid product. You can be sure that the investment is worth it.

Considero que es un buen producto; sin embargo, recomiendo comprar una que sea compatible con conexiones de red dado que si la quieres controlar mediante StreamDeack no es posible. Si es cierto que cuenta con un software y un control remoto, pero si la quieres para hacer transmisiones, lo último que necesitas es tener abierto un programa más para controlar el brillo. La marca y la construcción son excelentes 10/10.

Great LED light- its very, very, bright. It also has some heft when everything is assembled together. Installation was easy- and having a dedicated remote was the most important thing for me. I didn't want to have to use an app to control the light or adjust using the buttons on the light itself. The only issue I encountered was during the installation on my desk, specifically with the tightening grip handle that you twist to tighten to your desk. Based on my room and its current setup, it wasn't able to fit the light in the corner of the desk because the twist handle kept hitting the wall or desk drawers. Id suggest double checking before purchasing. Overall, very pleased with the quality of the light.
