Great Product and inexpensive to boot!
These are very well made and work like a charm. I love that there is an adjustment for the strength of resistance on the close. I originally bought an 8 pack to see if I liked them and then ordered 25 more. Two complaints however: 1) I agree with other reviewers that the screws provided by the seller are junk. I was continuing to strip the heads, even with a pilot hole. I replaced them with 2 inch drywall screws and with an 1/8 pilot hole there were no more stripped heads. Super easy to install and the spacers are a must. 2) They came with no instructions. It took me a while to figure out how to use the spacers but once I did they work great. Since I had no idea where to mount them on the cabinet door frame I called the company. They said it really doesn’t matter. I found that mounting them in the corner didn’t allow room for my drill so rather than messing with a flex bit on my drill I just installed them a little below the upper corner so I had room to drill and screw. No problem. Just consider that they slightly reduce access to your cabinet so consider that when you decide on placement so you don’t hit the mechanism when you pull things out of the cabinet. I asked the company why they don’t include directions with the item and they said they do. Apparently Amazon buys them in bulk and sends the number you order in a plastic bag with no instructions.

These are the BOMB!
These after-market, soft-close door dampers, work exactly as advertised and are a wonderful improvement for our kitchen cabinet doors. Before purchasing, I read through numerous reviews regarding this item for any tips/tricks regarding the install and I did need to purchase a "right-angle" drill adaptor for our handheld drill along with a hex-end drill bit in order to pre-drill the hole. With those in hand, the installation was very easy. The only down side with my entire experience is that the set of 20 dampers I purchased came with 10 long screws (for use with the spacers) and 10 short screws (when not using the spacers). I needed a total of 20 long screws since I had to use the spacers with each damper install. I gave the 5 Star review because these adaptors work great and the long screw issue was resolved through Amazon.

Now NONE of my cabinet doors slam!
I'm no carpenter so if I can do this, YOU can too! And I can definitely do it! My cabinets for our new construction kitchen were ordered with the Blumotion soft closers pre-installed at the factory. I opted not to get them on cabinets that I thought I wouldn't be opening as frequently: over-fridge, over-oven in the kitchen; over-the-john cabs in the bathrooms; all cabinets in the utility room. I didn't purchase them installed on those because it added about $25 to each cabinet and I was looking to control costs everywhere I could at the end of our build. By using these, it was less than $10 per cabinet. I changed my mind after living with all the cabinets for awhile and purchased a big package of these to have installed. I got the closers last September and I often thought about giving them a try but decided not to do anything for fear of ruining the cabinets. I only recently finally found a handyman that was highly recommended AND I didn't have to take a 2nd mortgage to afford him. While I was waiting for him to confirm a start date, our finish carpenter came back to work on his punch list and I watched him move a set of soft closers that were on the bottom of a cabinet instead of the top (the cabinet could be installed in any direction and his helper hadn't noticed that the closers were in the wrong place) - it took him less than one minute to move both of them. I knew at that point any good handyman could do the job and shouldn't be charging me an arm and a leg to install the new ones. I watched the handyman struggle with the first one he tried and then it got really quick so I had my assumption confirmed at that point. When he left today, there were 10 closers that still needed to be installed in my utility room -- I decided to play carpenter-for-a-day. Actually, it was carpenter for 15 minutes! Since we already had some installed to use as instructional props, the fact that there are no instructions included was not a deterrent for me! Here are my observations: 1. The flexible drill thing is really a necessary evil. My Black and Decker 18V screwdriver/drill couldn't get the bit parallel with the top of the cabinet to get a level pilot hole. 2. You should definitely drill a pilot hole before just trying to screw these to the cabinet frame -- you don't want to get a surprise in the form of a cracked face frame... If you drill the pilot hole, these can easily be installed with a manual phillips head screwdriver -- my frame are solid maple so, even with a hard wood, it was not a tough job to do manually. 3. These can be installed at top or bottom of the cabinet but if you install at the bottom you will lose some shelf space because the closers will protrude onto the shelf and impede your cabinet contents from taking full advantage of the space. Is it a deal breaker? No. Is it a choice I would make if I could safely reach and securely fasten the closer to the top instead. No way. 4. Expect to spend about 5 minutes maximum per closer as long as you have good access to the cabinet innards. So if you have cabinets with the European type hinges that self-close but are a little on the aggressive side, consider these Blumotion soft closers as a logical upgrade that you can enjoy for a very long time to come!

Love the functionality - but missing screws!
I love how easy these are to install and work as well as slow close hinges (without having to replace 2-3 per door!). The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I bought a 20 pack and only got 10 short screws and 10 long screws. It shouldn’t have been an either/or, but 20 of each size as pictured! I mean most people’s kitchens have the same doors and either would need the adapter or would not! Not a big deal to buy more screws but come on.

Relatively easy to install - just need an electric drill to make a pilot hole and a screwdriver to fit the adapter - otherwise all parts supplied. I struggled a little with fitting one of the right-hand widgets and it sits at an angle compared with its left-hand neighbour but still works very well. Time will tell how long they last but thanks to God, so far so great. I have attached a video to show the difference between closing these cabinets with the Blumotion fitted, and the last one when I ran out of widgets!

This product is exactly as advertised, made well of excellent metals and works perfectly. We installed 46 of them throughout the house in under two hours and now enjoy the sounds of silence. Fabulous device!!!

Works perfectly with vestibule closet as doors tended to slam easily. These are lighter doors so the Adjustable tension screw is handy for a perfect closure. Not too fast or slow. Used the plastic adapter as door is inside the closure, fits perfectly. Good quality heavy metal.

These slow closers are fantastic! We thought we were going to have to replace all our kitchen cabinets until my husband found these. We read all the other reviews and went with this make and not the cheaper plastic ones. We are glad we did. They are perfect. Easy to install, no removing old hardware just adding these on the inside. Life is much quieter now. These are worth the money.
