Kitchens of India Pindi Chana Chick Peas Curry
Kitchens of India Pindi Chana Chick Peas Curry taste delicious with nice spice. I like it over rice. I add extra heat with Capsaicin. It is easy to heat in eat as it takes just minutes to prepare. The product contains natural ingredients and is versatile, working well with rice or you can eat it with flat bread or crackers or anything else. It seems reasonably priced as the six pack is a good size, Subscribe & Save discount & Free Shipping helps as well. it does have high in sodium so I do not add salt to my rice dish.

Kitchens of India Ready to Eat Pindi Chana, chick Pea Curry
I love Indian food. I frequent the Indian grocery store almost weekly. I was wanting some Indian cuisine that I could quickly heat up for my family without having to go to a lot of work. The "Kitchens of India Ready to Eat Pindi Chana" is great taste-wise and labor-wise. I just opened the pouches and poured them into a saucepan to heat up. I poured it over rice since it's on the spicy side. It takes 2 pouches to give a family of 4 an adequate serving. Tastes delicious and I will be buying more of this. And it doesn't require refrigeration so it makes a great camping food or when the power might go off. I love foods that I can store in my Pantry for an extended period of time and that taste good too.

Delicious, but oily
I used to get these from Food lion years ago and I was thrilled when I found the Pindi Chana here on Amazon! Great eatery-quality flavor, spices on point, and packed with nutrition. Delicious with rice or naan. My only complaint is that the recipe has been changed ever so slightly, preserving the flavor, at the cost of SO much grease and oil. I swear half the pouch on some of them is grease with not as many chickpeas and potatoes. Also seems like the quality varies from pouch to pouch, one pouch has a lot of grease and not a lot of chickpeas, potatoes, and onions, and another will have little grease but plenty of ingredients( which is good). My only complaint is that quality control be upped and the grease cut down on- otherwise, you can't beat this stuff!

Vegan Natural Kosher Choice
Vegan. Natural. Kosher Pareve. Spicy. Tender chana [also known as chick peas or garbanzos] along with some pieces of aloo [potatoes] in a delightful & spicy vegetable gravy. Authentic flavor. Taste the 'kick' from real Indian green chilis. Let your adventurous taste buds travel to India without having to go there. Great with whole wheat pitas, organic basmati rice, or your favorite [Indian] bread. Made with chick peas, potatoes, onions, sunflower oil, tomatoes, spices, green chilis, salt, ginger, garlic, pomegranate seed powder, and tea leaves extract. 525 calories and 20g protein per package. Product of India. Also really like Kitchens Of India Ready To Eat Rajma Masala, Red Kidney Bean Currry, 10-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) . Not for the gluten free crowd
This was yummy, but I was very ill after eating it. The ingredient list looked safe for my gluten free life, but something was not right.

Real Desi Food, not a “mild” and watered down “Americanized” version
If you’re looking for something with tons of oil and spices dumped in it, because that’s what you’re supposed to have when you eat it mixed with a proper amount of otherwise relatively bland rice or bread, then this is it. I just made some Chana this way myself, not the pindi style specifically, but with the spices and oil “overdone” for better mixing with rice, and this pre-packaged version is as “concentrated” as what I had made for myself just by eyeballing and guessing. So for me this is dead on, but if you’re not eating this in a typical “Indian manner” with enough rice etc then you’re probably going to find it too “strong”. At absolute minimum this is made to eat 1:1 or 1:2 with rice etc. Excellent value for the money for the price when I bought it, especially if your kitchen is temporarily torn apart for repairs and you can’t cook like usual.

Varies batch to batch
For the most part I really love this Pindi Chana. It has some heat to it, so it's not as bland as other heat-to-eat Chick Pea Curries from other brands. Price is decent, and availability is good. The (one) issue with this product is that the taste, and consistency will vary batch-to-batch (box to box). It comes in a package of six meals. In the current batch I have the consistency is very thick, with moderate spiciness. In recent orders (about every 6 to 8 weeks I buy it), it has been overly thin (like soup), or it has a significant amount of what looks like chili oil floating in it, or it has even seemed like it has less chick peas than usual, or... within a box of six, they are all the same. Box to box, not so much. But, I'm still buying it, so draw your own conclusions. I do like the new packaging.. they used to package with an extra printed cardboard insert bragging about how environmentally friendly they were. Hmmm.. extra printed material is not very environmentally friendly the way I look at it. The last few orders the packaging has changed to get rid of the extra cardboard and to put the curry into more easily heated packaging.

Healthy, delicious, convenient and vegan...It doesn't get any better than this!
What a great find for vegans (and non-vegans, too)! I can't tell you how many hours I spend squinting at labels, in search of food choices that are a) vegan; b) free of artificial ingredients; and c) convenient (including non-perishable). Oh, and d) tasty. I travel a lot and need food that I can bring with me in case I don't have other options. The Kitchens of India Pindi Chana / Curry Chick Peas is the single best solution to my needs. It really is as good as many restaurant offerings, and all you have to do is pour it in to a dish an microwave (or not...I've actually eaten it at room temperature and it's fine!). I order in bulk, and eat it pretty regularly at home, plus I almost always throw a few in my suitcase (checked bag...) when I hit the road. I really do highly recommend this product!
