A Fantastic Puzzle!
I love that this puzzle it is made from quality materials. The large pieces make it fun for all ages. I have purchased quite a few as gifts as well as owning two ourselves. My children are grown up - they are in their teens, however they love taking this out when younger children come to visit. A great gift and Amazon price points helps as it is cheaper than most local stores

Better than Expected!
Bought for my 4yr old, she is besotted with it. Was learning about the solar system in Montessori & loved the big pieces & challenge of making it without help. She is fairly good with jigsaws, yet was a challenge for her. She loves being quizzed on which planet is which & opened her up to many thoughts and questions about planets, earth etc. Was looking after my 4yr old nephew recently & my daughter chose it as an activity to do. I was shocked at how attentive he was to trying to make it & the questions that followed. Going to buy it for him. Very colourful & great size when fully made. Only quip would be that it is difficult to explain perspective, as planets are as they would look as if you were looking out from the moon. My daughter understood after a few discussions. Very worthwhile purchase.

Great jigsaw, large size with large pieces, bright colours in a decent cardboard box
Really nice jigsaw, Large size with large pieces. I have had a lot of fun doing this with my twin boys while they were 3 Now they have just turned 4 they are doing this on their own. It works well on the carpet with the pieces locking together nicely. Kids never refer to the image on the box to work out what goes where, its all trial and error, then memory. They remember what parts make up sections based on the colours and the overall picture, then it all comes together. The jigsaw is a picture printed on a stiff card, it is still very usable after a lot of play time. The box is now held together with tape...better that than never played with in my opinion. Overall its been a very good buy

Fun puzzle for young kids. Great for gifting
It’s a great puzzle and fun for kids. Giving 4 stars as the box is excessively big so not good for the environment. Good value for money specially when it’s on discount so ordered 2 more as gifts!

good puzzle, thick cardboard
Good double sided puzzle. The cardboard is thick and hard. And there's a nice find the animal/bug game after you have built the puzzle. It's smaller than the "under the sea" one from Melissa & Doug.

good buy
Great quality jigsaw. It's a large puzzle so it needs a little bit of space but the big pieces are easier for small hands. My 3 and a half year old loves this. It's a beautiful image with enough detail to talk about individual planets without being overwhelming. There are also some nice details that can be good for leading off into further discussion for older children - an asteroid belt, comet, spiral galaxy, nebula, the fact that the earth is part in shadow so you can discuss why we have day/night etc. We combined it with a couple of the Usborne beginner books (Sun, Moon and Stars and The Solar System) which complemented it well. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great details, an accurate puzzle
I have to say that this is the best Solar system themed puzzle that you can buy right now. Make sure that you don`t forget that this is a "floor" puzzle, so it will be a bit bigger than your average 48 piece. I bought this for my son who loves astronomy and is really into the wonders of the universe app (2.5 years old) and he absolutely loves it. The names for the planets are on an attached sheet for reference in case you are not familiar with them and let me just say that I don`t agree with some other reviewers in that it should be printed on the puzzle. The last thing I want is the word "Mercury" blocking the image of the actual planet on a product that is aimed at kids who cannot or can just barely read letters of the alphabet. As a parent I have to tell you that the biggest bonus this puzzle gives is that it is trying to be as factually accurate much as it possibly can: - all the celestial bodies are roughly to scale (I say roughly, because you will never see an enjoyable image with the size of the Sun and planets to scale as the planets would appear as dots). - the image includes the (inner) asteroid belt, and it is accurately located between Mars and Jupiter - the stars are not plain white but between blue and red, just like real stars when watched through a telescope due to surface temperature differences - contains the bigger moons of the bigger planets - does not list Pluto as a planet (as it shouldn`t) So all in all accuracy is the biggest plus for me as I would just hate to teach something to my kid and have to explain a couple of years later that some of the things I thought him were lies. If you think alike and your kid is into astronomy buy it, you are not going to regret it
