Meinl Professional Doumbek Bag - Black
This product is everything I wanted from it. It came earlier than the projected date I had been given and was in perfect order.

Great bag, snug fit
Exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it. Great quality material, thoroughly padded inside, looks great, and overall excellent design. I wasn't sure initially whether I would need this bag or the larger version of it. I have the Meinl HE-3000 vinyl covered aluminium Doumbek and this bag only just fits. I have to undo both zips to get the drum in the bag properly, and once zipped up again it is very snug. Any bigger drum would definitely need the larger version. The extra pocket is really handy for keeping the tuning key. The handle straps and zips feel solid, however the shoulder strap is in fact not padded (as is erroneously stated in the product description). This is disappointing as I can imagine that things will get uncomfortable very quickly carrying this around using the shoulder strap. Update: This also fits a Gawharet El Fan Mother of Pearl darbuka/doumbek (17" x 10.5") perfectly.

The case that originally came with my Doumbek was thin and cheaply made. I just did not trust it to keep my drum safe so I ordered this drum case. I have to say that I am 100% thrilled with this high quality case. It is well padded, has easy zippers that allow me to get me drum out easily, and sturdy straps for carrying. Love it. I plan to buy one for each drum I buy. Thank you!

Excellent Drum Case!!!!!! Made so well, better priced than the more expensive ones, filled with lots of cushion, sturdy and a great buy. I highly recommend it.

This case is designed for Meinl Doumbek, not their smaller Darbuka. The Meinl Doumbeks are 17" tall, 8 1/2" head (which is 11" edge to edge) and 7 3/8" base so it's a comfortable fit. It's well padded on all surfaces; sides, top and bottom. It has a zipper around the top head area and another down the side so that getting the Doumbek in and out is easy. The outside case is made of a good material and it has a handle on the side and a large strap that expands so you can loop it over your shoulders if you wanted to. World Music Instruments fulfilled this purchase, shipped it first thing the next day and it was delivered in 3 days. Excellent service. Only complaint was with FedEx, their tracking of packages is guess work but they got it here within a reasonable time.
