I use this to connect a Rode Procaster (XLR) up to my Mac to use as a microphone for video conferencing, and for that it works perfectly. It is neat, requires virtually no setup to use, and performs perfectly well. The Mac recognised it without bother, and I was up and running in no time. All in all, I'm very happy with it, and it's declutterred my desk from the USB audio device that I was using before. That said, if I was recording audio for, say, a home studio album, then I'd probably not go with this. I just think that you can create a better audio stream from larger, more expensive audio devices, etc. But what this offers is a perfectly acceptable audio input that enables you to use an XLR mic WITHOUT requiring an external USB device as well. So, if you were on the road and wanted something that works, or you are just doing something quick at home or, as I am, want a clutter free desk but still use an XLR mic (because that's what I have!), then this is a fantastic option. I'm very pleased with it.

Slightly more expensive than some similar items, but this is obviously a high quality product, all metal chassis, works reliably and has decent sound quality. The only small issue I had was that it was difficult to find the correct software to connect it to a slightly older Mac running Catalina.

This little beauty is a game changer. I had a Shure mic connected with a Go XLR. I removed the Go XLR but then realised that I couldn't use my microphone any more (which is the best I've ever owned - for streaming) I was gutted, thinking I'd have to spend hundreds on new audio kit. THIS however changed all of that. The simplicity is amazing. Plug and play. It's very straight forward. Looks neat. A lot of people ask what it is as not every one has them. 10/10 recommend using this, also less cables, the XLR cables are at least 10m and being thick they can get in the way but now I have a simple 2m cable and it's perfect for my set up!

My Laptop mic did not seem to work very well with my laptop during zoom sessions with my guitar group. As I had some mics from my gigging days I used the Shure MVX2U XLR-to-USB to connect to my Laptop. It seems to work very well once the right settings are applied to Zoom. Also, I can now record to various devices for practice assessment and making my own backing tracks.

I tried this unit and it's a great little sound interface quick but the Steinberg UR22 has lower floor nois and 32bit recording for less money plus you get an extra channel. Now it's just portability you want I would get this. Maybe Shure will do a 32bit version next time.

This works with the Shure SM7DB (and others) and converts the XLR output (and supplies power) to USB. Perfect for podcasting and other activities

Sehr schöne mobile Lösung, sehr gute Sound Qualität, habe mir gleich noch einen zweiten gekauft. Man benötigt aber eine Mikoverstärker dazu, hab mir den Triton Fethead geholt. Hintergrund, man kann den MVX2U zwar laut genug hochdrehen, dann raucht es aber leicht. Mit Triton muss man kaum verstärken, es ist gut laut und kein Rauschen. Bin sehr zufrieden.
