I happen to love centrifugal cooling fans because they move air in a very controlled manner and do so very quietly. I use these on various applications within my networking and equipment racks to keep things from overheating and they just hum along very smoothly and quietly even at full blast. Only caveat is you get lower CFM for the size of the fan compared to a box fan but because the air is directed in such a concentrated way it solves thermal issues from specific processors far better than a standard box fan and without the crazy noise and vibration.

I put this in my travel kit to create some air circulation in hotel rooms. It's compact and the "blower" nature is perfect for creating a little bit of circulation. Putting some hot glue on the wires to keep them secure / safe, especially if it will be moved around, is a good idea. And in my use case, I used 1/8" neoprene to line the back to keep it from moving and making noise during use. I'm not using the speed controller. Even on high, the sound is fine. In fact, in my use case, having some "white noise" is a benefit to mask other hotel guests. BT recommended

These are great little fans. They will surprise you with the huge airflow. They work great with solar panels. Low power, and they have nice mounting holes.

2nd purchase of this fan and they're both great. Using fan for a Stormtrooper helmet. Small,Quiet & works well. No noise interference with helmet mic system. Really like the 3 speed USB switch extension included.

I have my fan mounted to a 2” barrel bung, to vent the humidity (digital controller) when it gets too high. Works amazingly well for the task. 5v usb plug. Ultra silent.
