Invicta Men's 5053 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch

I bought this watch for my husband, and honestly, it’s amazing—the quality is impressive. It’s an automatic watch with a shiny gold bracelet that has a nice, substantial feel. The watch face is spectacular and beautiful; it really brings the whole look to life. It looks gorgeous, and my husband loved it.

First let me say, I am not a watch guy. I have some nice dress watches but I don't collect them or frequently shop for watches. I needed a new day to day watch and I wanted a self winding watch. In the past I have always purchased battery powered Swiss Army watches for this purpose. I would get about 10 years from them and always hated replacing the batteries every year. I was looking for a self winding, Swiss Army watch and stumbled on this watch. Self winding and about 25% the cost of a Swiss Army automatic. So I took a chance. While its only been a day or two, I am impressed with it. Looks nice, keeps accurate time and if it lasts 3 years, I am money ahead. A real value. UPDATE: It has been 18 months now and the watch still works and looks great. I wear it every day. Only negative I have experienced is that it runs a couple minutes fast every week. I have received many compliments about it from total strangers who notice it and comment on what a good-looking watch it is. Update 2: It has now been over 3 years of daily use. The watch still runs and looks great. No problems with it. Most recently my dentist complemented me on it, thought it was a Rolex. Liked its looks. Update 3: Going on 5 years now and it still works and looks great. Exceeded all my expectations. Update 4: It has been over 6 years now and the watch has started to slow down. It loses about 5 minutes every week now. Still works and looks great, just isn't keeping time like it did originally. Still a real bargain compared to the alternatives.

I just received a pair of invicta 8930's today. They look AMAZING! Since I just now recently opened the package, I can't comment on the durability of the watches but they do look like they will hold up for quite awhile. One thing that was disappointing for me was that the wrist band did not come with solid end links, but I can't ask for much since I only paid 69.99 for each watch and I will probably end up putting a nato strap on both anyways. I was definitely surprised on how good they look, the case size isn't too small or overly large (40mm) and i think it doesn't feel too heavy on my wrist (I have small wrists by the way). One thing I did notice however, was that one watch has a darker blue color than the other watch, one has a bigger cyclops (with larger magnification) and the glass looks different on both (one has a shinier look and the other looks more opaque but not opaque enough to not be able to see clearly through...I thought I ordered the same watch, but they look a little different from each other. It probably won't be noticeable from far away, but it is kind of annoying to me. I tested the illumination for the watches and it seems as though the LUME paint or whatever they used wasn't very good. It was bright for a few minutes then became rather dull, still legible but nothing to write home about. Also, the bezel isn't that great to hold onto. I wish I chose a model with the coined edge, like what the rolexes have because my fingers tend to slide against the polished surface of the metal when I try to rotate the bezel. Overall, I would highly recommend this watch. At 69.99 it is an absolute steal, but I wish that both of the watches that I received had the same blue on the dial and face. As I mentioned above, one watch is a brighter shade of blue and it looks really great in light. The other watch was also blue, but it is a darker shade of blue and looks almost black at some angles and this particular watch also had the smaller cyclops. Maybe I received two different years of the same model. Who knows? If both of these watches endure my punishment, I will definitely buy from invicta again and amazon. 1 Day shipping FTW! I purchased the 8920 blue faced Pro Diver watch 6 weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. It is my first Automatic watch and the idea of not having to have batteries replaced yearly was appealing. I mostly bought this watch for the looks. It is a beautiful watch and looks a lot like the much more expensive ones. The materials and construction appear to be quite good. This watch gains about 5 minutes a month which is within normal findings. I expect that to be closer to 2-3 minutes per month after more time goes on. I have received many compliments on how nice the watch looks. Two items to note: Obviously you must keep it wound by wearing it regularly or using a winder. I found a nice winder on Amazon for $39 which works great. The second item of note is one that that I haven't seen in any review and that is the color of the bracelet. It is very nice, if you like the Rolex bracelet look (and I do), but... it has just a bit of a brassy color to it. It's not bad at all, but I would have preferred a less brassy color and more true gold look. Still, I would buy it again. I liked the Invicta so much that I subsequently bought the Stainless steel 8926-C Invicta and love that also. Two great watches for all occasions. When buying the Invicta from Amazon, you get the extended 5 year warranty for free, but you MUCH sign up for the warranty within 30 days of PURCHASE, not receipt of the watch. Added April 29, 2010 I have now had this watch about 7 months and really like it. The longer I have it the more accurate it is. It gains about 3 minutes per month, no big deal. I still think the color has just a bit too much brass in it, but I am liking it more and have received compliments on the watch. Update Dec. 2011 I have now had this watch 2 years and greatly enjoy wearing it. I have had no problems at all, it still gains 2-3 minutes a months, not a problem. I have the silver version of this watch which I wear almost every day and it's great. This gold one gets worn periodically on dressy occasions. When I pull it out, I just set the watch, shake a couple times it to get it wound a bit and it works well. Very nice watch. I have received several compliments on it. Update November 25, 2014, My watch is still working very well after 5 years and looks great. I don't wear this every day, I mostly wear the 8926-C as my every day watch, that also is a wonderful watch. It is so nice never having to buy batteries. They both keep good time, perhaps gaining 2 minutes a month, no big deal. The winder I purchased lasted a year and then stopped working. Oh well, just reset a watch that has been sitting, shake it a couple times and it's back running again. I'm a fan.

WOW! This is an amazing watch for an amazing price. I didn't think I would think this highly of it, but it looks professional and didn't cost nearly as much as my other watches. I really wanted a gold watch to mix in with my wardrobe and this is perfect. The movement is beautiful. I hope it holds up over time.

This is my first ever Invicta and first mechanical in 48 years. Shipping was fast and was delivered in a bright, sunny box. Anyone owning more than one watch, should have at least one mechanical among them. Of course, quartz watches have a number of "theoretical" advantages over mechanicals: more accurate, much more affordable, less maintenance... On paper, mechanicals only have one: no battery required. However, whereas your quartz is cool and precise, a mechanical is warm and engaging. If they were both your kids, would you love them both? Yes, just in different ways. A mechanical needs you. It forges a connection with its owner, as it needs you to give it energy... give it life. There's a mutual connection. When you purchase a mechanical, you appreciate the intricacies and artistry of decades of those who made this watch possible. I've had my Invicta for only a week and the bond is already unbreakable. As good as high end watches are perceived to be (give them credit), many would agree that they are grossly over hyped and over priced. We've been conditioned that (only) high price = high quality. Not necessarily. I was searching for a practical, everyday wear automatic that I could wear with confidence, without fear of the $$$ around my wrist. I chose this Invicta 8930 for that reason, plus the deep blue/gold combo (stunning!), the reliable NH35 "heartbeat" and generally good feedback and reviews. Of course, in my search, I've also come across some watch snobs but hey, we all have our problems, don't we? 😊. In my one week with it, I've worn it every second day. In the process I've tested the power reserve to about 35 hours and it was still running like a racehorse when I picked it up. Accuracy is less than two seconds per day off. Considering the 100+ parts, springs and gears making this movement possible, it is actually brilliant! Very happy with that. I'll never test the water resistance, as I wear it formally and casually. I like the magnified date window. Although early days, I feel very good about this watch. Not everyone wants to pay top dollar for an ego boost or can afford high prices (I fall into both categories). I trust that I'll have many years of joy and appreciation from this Invicta. YO LO RECOMIENDO LE QUEDO A MI PADRE EXPERTACULAR

Llevo unos días usándolo y se siente de muy buena calidad, lo que se ve en las fotos eso te envían; y realmente dudo mucho que encuentren otro reloj con calidades similares por este precio, el motor, la cuerda, la corona, todo se siente de muy buena calidad. Lo recomiendo 100% si buscas algo que se sienta lujoso sin gastar una gran suma de dinero.

Bought this after talking to a few people and researching online. I wanted the gold stainless (vs plated real gold) as this will last longer, and doesn't scream yellow gold as much. Very nice watch with lots of eye candy factor from others who see it when worn. I believe the movement is actually Seiko automatic and it tracks time fairly well. The bezel is also nice with the scalloped design, versus notched on the other styles. The screw-down crown is a bit tricky, but you can figure you it after playing with it a bit. The face is a purple-blue and does not fully match the bezel blue, but I don't mind the contrast. Overall, a very nice watch that appears to be rugged and well designed.

Es un reloj automático a buen precio. Es buen valor por el dinero, porque ahora que lo tengo en mi muñeca con una correa de Nylon azul marino, no solo luce bien sino que me encuentro probándolo y veo pocos contras. Dentro de los detalles que he podido detectar son: al momento de cambiar el extensible dorado por uno preferido, hay que tener cuidado para no lastimar el reloj, poner un paño o algo suave contra la esfera, en mi caso conservé el plástico que tiene de fábrica y superficie blanda. Asimismo hay que manejar habilidosa y pacientemente la herramienta para quitar los pernos para evitar rayar el metal de las asas o el fondo de la caja que son susceptibles. El segundo detalle que observo es en la corona que opone un poco más de resistencia de lo normal para cerrarla igual aquí paciencia y no forzar demasiado, un tip procura no dar tanta cuerda no llegar al tope(resistencia mayor) porque a la hora de enroscar el cierre se sigue accionando la cuerda y siento se puede malograr. Es importante que se cambie la hora cuando corresponde porque aunque es Seiko Mov, temo que sea delicado y vulnerable, lo adecuado poner a las 12 PM (mediodía) y hacer el cambio de fecha, y ajustar a la hora de ese mismo día o del siguiente. Lo conseguí por 1750 pesos (alrededor de 76 usd) siento que es lo justo aún dorado es un bonito ejemplar, reitero en mi caso rechazo el extensible original el cual es muy llamativo y nefasto. No podría pagar más por un reloj como este, porque de entrada ya deseché el extensible de eslabones sólidos original, me quedo con la caja.
