Very satisfied, we use them every day
I did a lot of research before buying 2 of the Wahoo Ticker Fits for myself and my wife. Turns out nearly all of the negative reviews we read about had an easy fix. A little trial and error in where to place the sensor on your body goes a long ways in eliminating dropouts and false readings. Experiment with Bluetooth connectivity with your phone, especially when bike riding, keep the distance short. I wear mine just below my shoulder when cycling and on the same side as my phone carrier. Also, do NOT use any sunscreen or lotion! With a little common sense these are exceptional HRM's that work very well. The batteries last a really long time and are easily charged with the magnetic USB clip, remaining charge is shown on the app. The factory App is basic, which I like, yet shows all of the important stuff. It has a wide variety of named workout routines, including cycling and skiing, and the ability to modify or easily create your own named routine. After imputing personal stats it auto-computes your personal heart rate ranges and calories burned, along with easy to read graphs that track each other. On our bike rides we get a detailed map of our route with elevation, speed, and heart rate graphs. Additional pages of collected data can be added at will. The stationary workout routines of course do not show mileage or elevation and are tailored to the workout you choose, all of which are saved in history and easily retrieved or deleted. Linking is easy to a plethora of fitness apps. I personally just use the factory app, but my wife links to Google Fit. Cleaning is easy with mild soap and water as the sensor is waterproof with no battery doors. I had heard how flimsy the band was, really? Its a soft Velcro band that is very comfortable and after a month of daily use and a few cleanings I see no signs of visible wear. That said, it is not stainless steel or hard plastic which would no doubt last longer at the price of comfort. I think the band is a non issue, when and if I wear it out I'll just replace it, to me comfort is more important than extreme longevity. Bottom line is we are extremely satisfied and glad we did not listen to some of the bad reviews or get a wrist watch or the chest strap type. Is it perfect? No, and you will need to experiment a little to get your personal 'sweet spot' for where to place it on your body. After that it will perform very well. We use them daily!

Won’t ever go back to chest strap monitor
I’ve tried wrist and chest monitors for years. Don’t like the inconvenience or discomfort of chest straps, and found wrist monitors like an Apple Watch frequently not accurate and or update rate too slow. But the Wahoo armband is PERFECT! As accurate ( or very close) to my chest strap, but FAR more comfortable and much easier to use, it also updates rate very very quickly ( usually within 1-3 beats), great battery life, easy to charge up in about 1.5hrs. Arm placement was very easy about1in below elbow on outer forearm works perfect! Had to take my time adjusting tightness of band to be snug, but not to tight. Very comfortable to wear for long periods during any time of exercise. Once band length is set it just slides on or off very easily, no need to adjust after that. Not sure about the negative reviews, but mine works flawlessly and easily. Will never go back to a chest strap monitor. I suspect the reviewers who had dropouts on readings either had tightness of band wrong or incorrect placement,, does take a little experimentation initially. Great product!! I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Excellent product, highly recommend. I use it with Apple Watch
My TICKR FIT has been working extremely well since I purchased it a couple months ago. I use it with my Apple Watch and it connects smoothly to the watch via blue-tooth, and never seems to drop out. It is comfortable (I wear it just above or below my elbow, with the “wahoo” facing in front of me) and it has enabled my watch to read my heart rate much more consistently and accurately. Before, I had to cinch my watch so tight it hurt and even then it was all over the map on heart rate reading during cardio exercise. Now, I can wear my watch + TICKR FIT comfortably and heart rate readings are consistent and accurate. I now have much more confidence in my health data. I also tried the TICKR (iphone) app which will record heart rate during workouts. I liked the app and would be happy using that as well but the data there is not in-step with the way Apple records it’s “active cals”. So, to keep my health data consistent, I use it with the watch.

Simple and accurate, with excellent battery life
I replaced my old (and getting glitchy) Fuze with this, and I've been overall very happy with it. I really like the fact that it's easy to use as just a heart rate monitor, and the single button input is great. I've only used this with MapMyFitness, but it syncs up every time, and the reaction time seems quite good. Many non-chest strap monitors tend to have issues catching up with fluctuating heart rates, which is annoying during interval training. Although I haven't exhaustively tested it, the Wahoo seems to keep up with the changes in heart rate well. It also seems very accurate. The best part, though, is the battery life. I only use this and average of three times a week, but it took over four months for this this to finally get down to 5% battery and need to be recharged. I love that I don't have to worry about constantly recharging, and I know it will last through endurance events. My only gripe is with the band. For running, it works really well, but I've had some issues during other workouts. The material is comfortable, but it doesn't have a lot of grip, so it can start to move on sweaty skin. I tried to compensate with a tighter fit, but then I was experiencing discomfort in my forearm. I've been able to find a somewhat happy compromise, but I do keep checking it during higher intensity workouts. Depending on how you're using it and how much you sweat, this may never be an issue for you. The only other thing I'll mention is that I did accidentally put this through the wash one time. I was worried since it's only spec'd as being water resistant, but it worked just fine, after I let it dry out. I don't recommend purposely submerging it, but it's nice to know that it can handle some water.

The battery dies even when I don't use it. So, if I don't keep it connected to the charger, it's not charged when I want to use it. Need to edit: After 2 years of use, it was really bad, so I decided to write to Wahoo support. I requested at least a new charge cable to have extra one home and other work, because the battery was not enough to get to and from work. Wahoo support was so kind that they sent a new one, and after 30 days, charged once upon receipt, it still has 68% used around 25 hours. Either it was an improvement, or my previous one was defective; it wasn't like that from the beginning, so I think I should updade here my review.
