I recently move from a home where our garbage cans were stored outside of the house. I now live in a townhome where the garbage cans are stored inside our attached and enclosed garage. We never had stored our garbage can in an enclosed space before. Our garbage gets picked up once a week. After two days of putting our household trash in the cans in the garage our whole garage smelled like a garbage dump. After doing some research on getting ride of garbage can odor. I found out about “Bin Guard” . I purchased this product and it really works! It really really works. NO MORE STINKY ODOR. It is so easy to attach to your garbage cans. The product stays on the can and is not displaced when the garbage truck lifts the cans into the truck. We love this product and give it 5 STARS. I had the opportunity to reach out to Customer service via their chat and they were extremely responsive and knowledgeable about ever aspect of their product. If you have a garbage can ordor issue. Don't look any further. Purchase “Bio Guard” along With the refills that I replace every 90 days.

This never worked. It’s supposed to spray when the hood of our bin came down and it never did. I would have to manually spray it before closing the lid. It ended up getting knocked off by my husband or kids and I just didn’t see the need to replace it. I didn’t want to drill a hole in it since we don’t own our bins. The smell wasn’t great to me mixed with trash.

Wasn’t sure how well this would work. I hatedour stinky trash bin even after washing it. But this makes it much more pleasant smelling.

I like the product and the idea of the product. But like so many other people said, it's only a matter of time before the pump sprayer gets ruined due to trash being dumped out. With that being said, I keep that in mind from the day I bought it. I tried my best to be mindful and not throw bulky stuff in that garbage can. It lasted about 9 months before mine finally broke. I wish it could be made out of aluminum so it was potentially more durable. If that was the case, I'd be willing to definitely give it another shot

Initially, I wanted to give this a five star review but I have since had to revise my review. First the good. If you live in a warm area, or really any area with flies, you know the pain of an insect buffet that the trash can be. Food waste + warm temps = five star restaurant for flies. We had so many flies and it didn't matter how far or where I put the can those flies would find their way into the house. That is until I stumbled upon this little product. Initially I was skeptical that this would work. How could a little sprayer do that much? Man I was wrong. It was like a light switch turned off the flies once I had it installed. It was pretty easy to install with just some simple screws. The design, which is pretty funny actually, just has it attach on the back. I did have to create a shim with some cardboard in order to raise the bottle up some so the lid would trigger the sprayer but that was a simple fix. Once this thing sprayed it eliminated that five star restaurant feel for the flies and instead turned it into some dark back alley food cart that no one wants to try. There was zero food smells for the flies to enjoy. I would say I was pretty impressed with how effective and quick it worked. Until it didn't. I noticed this weekend that the actual sprayer part of the nozzle (the piece that makes it a mist) has either sprayed itself outside the container or the flies all banded together in order to sabotage it so they can get the good times rolling again. Either way they are back and every time I close the lid there is just a giant stream of the product that released versus the fine spray that was dispensed previously. Worst part...the files just laugh now. So disappointing. YMMV with this and while it does certainly work, I would make sure that you find a way to secure the spray tip into the sprayer.

With the initial set, the screws were too short and didn’t allow it to attach to the trash can. However, the owner of BinGuard, Philip Baron, contacted us after hearing of our issue and shipped some longer screws, which ultimately allowed us to install the product. Thanks for going above and beyond to correct the issue!

Love this product. Have tried other solutions in powder or charcoal before but none helped as much as this in helping to make our garbage can smell better. Easy to setup and effective. Highly recommend.

I have now had two, one being a replacement. The first one had the sprayer portion break off on the first trash day. The one that replaced that one was completely lost to the track truck. I wanted to like it, but I would without a doubt NOT recommend.

Awesome product. Feels very solid and well made, install was super easy. I can hear it spray when I close the lid and it smells great (for garbage).
