1-478-08-1-2 File Set, 5-Piece

I purchased this set of files for general shop use. I have found that they are worthy of their reputation. I initially selected them as an alternative as I was unable to find a set manufactured in the U.S., which is important to me. So far they have performed well and I’m very satisfied with their performance. Sure, they cost a little more but you get what you pay for. So far, I’ve used them on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and some plastics to good effect. I like the handles. They are comfortable and provide the hand with adequate purchase for repetitive use. I think they are worth the price and are a good value for producing professional results.

These files are nice and sharp and you get a full set for not too much money. If you've been using bottom tier files you don't know what you're missing.

These files are sharp! They cut better than any other brand i have owned. Just wish this set included a more fine cut file instead of 2 coarse files.

Great set. Good quality. Files are disposable don't over think it use it until its dull and replace.

Not labeled. You have to look at the pattern to decide how rough or smooth they are. I guess it is a European pattern, as they don't seem to match "bastard" or "smooth" patterns that I have seen. None seem to operate quite as aggressively as a flat bastard. They are of good quality, and have nice handles on every file (some sets have one handle that is shared). Overall, very nice quality for a lower than industry standard price. I would recommend this product.

I use these for luthiery and they are an absolute necessity for carving necks. Comfortable, quick and cover's a wide range of needs regarding cut and shape.

Excellent files. Sharp and well made. I have some very expensive Japanese Engineer files and I actually like these better.
