works as intended
purchased to replace possible bad jacks, the ratchet function was a nice touch though don't get the need behind the jacks plug..

Super easy good connection
Succeeded the first time, with very short wired coming out of the wall box. It replaced successfully a crimped connector which was flaky.Quite easy to connect, without any tool.Kind of expensive if you need to build many cables but excellent when you don’t need custom cables very often or in large quantities

Misleading
They say these are tool free but you still need crumpets and very skinny cutters, on my case it seemed if you had too much excess it prevented it from closing correctly and in a couple cases I had to close the unit with pliers to get it to seat all the way. Once it is seated completely though the clear case and ratchet strap operate smoothly and connection tested good

Quick, easy and Stable
Okay, so where do I start? I wonder what is on Prime Video. Oh, yes, the review. This is a strangely unique product. An RJ45 connector that does not need tools to install. Well… okay, it does not need the network tools one would normally use to make a solid, secure connection. I wanted to prove that the device would work well with no effort, or fail it at the slightest issue. After some thought, while I searched for a USB-C to mini-HDMI cable, I decided to build a six-foot cable with the jack on one end and the plug on the other. Test both at the same time.I started with the AMPCOM RJ45 Modular Plug. The small box contains 12 plugs, a cable stripper and a clam shell clamp to secure the wires to the plug. The only other item needed is something to cut the excess wire from the connector. I resisted the urge to get the wanted wire clippers and instead picked up the small Fiskars scissors I my desk drawer. Any object that cuts will do.While building network cables is somewhat intuitive, I decided to review the video that is on the product page. It was easy enough to follow and proved helpful. The plug was easy to attach and I had one-half of a usable cable.I decided to install the AMPCOM RJ45 Keystone Jack to complete the cable and test the usefulness of both products. The box of jacks also come in a box of 12 but with no cable stripper and no instructions. A quick review of the video and I knew exactly what to do. Once the wires were in place and secure, I looked to the Fiskars scissors to once again trim the wires.A quick test of the cable and all connections are secure. A traffic test show no issues and 1Gbps transfer speed. POE shows good and no loss. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the products for their intended use. These connectors are great for a quick repair or to build a quick cable if needed, though I would not want to use these in a permanent situation.
