Good value. So far, so good.
For such an inexpensive component, it performs well and sounds great. I’ve only been running it in my system for a day, so if it fails or I run into trouble, I’ll edit this review. Clean and crisp sound. No noise. Easy to set up. The model with the on/off button is really convenient to use. I added some rubber feet. It doesn’t come with any.

Use to boost line signal from record players to new tech amplifiers
Not sure why some reviews are negative. I think it works great. It's just a line amp for most record players that don't have one built in. Connected my record player to it and then to my Bose inputs. FINALLY I can listen to my old records (80's rock btw lol) For those complaining about a hum, the ground wire from player to amp HAS to be connected! Oh and just buy some cheap but new RCA cables, start fresh when setting up, right?

Nice preamp for the price
Great little preamp for the price. I’ve owned higher end for a more professional setup, but this works really well especially in tight spaces. Only issue here stems from the grounding component. A little difficult to get it to stay on for some ground wires, but overall transmits a high quality sound.

Perfect preamp for my old phonograph
Exactly what I needed and wanted to boost my phonograph signal output to drive my modern amplifier. Easy setup and excellent sound!!

Must have for newer digital amps
Unless you have a vintage $$ receiver/amp you have to connect this pre-amp from a turntable to hear records using the newer digital amps. It has a ground clamp for the RCA turntable wire to eliminate hum. It has an on/off switch. Comes with power box but you'll need your own RCA wire from the output.

Excellent budget solution
I wanted to connect my turntable to a Bose Solo speaker. This preamp was easy to hook up and works fine. I can imagine that a true audiophile is going to want more control over the balance and equalization of the sound. But for just being able to play vinyl where I want to, it fills the bill.

Probably perfect for a turn table but not for my needs
I needed a preamp for my reel to reel since the internal died. Apparently tape is stronger than a record pickup because this thing was overblowing the signal hard. No noise even without grounding. Solid construction, but I had to dock a star for no adjustability (at the price point it's not bad though, and it's cheaper brother Dosent even have a power button) I even cracked it open to see if there was a pot on the board. The insides look good, not much in there, but it's a preamp not a speaker amp. Just wish it fixed my issue, but it also wasn't designed for it, so I can't complain too hard.
