Good tool better than cheaper ones

Great buy, I use it everytime at the start of a felting project. I would not class this as a toy being that it contains needles even though it has a safety hood and lockable, you can still get pricked by the needles if used improperly. It may be suitable for older children 13+ but this depends on the child and if as a parent you are confident that they will practice safety when using it. Even as an adult I can sometimes stab myself if my attention is distracted. Therefore I will be selecting not suitable for children in general this has to be at the parents discretion and certainly I would not class as a toy.

Much better than the cheaper version

I bought this because I had heard punch tools like this with heavy needles make the wool felt a lot quicker at the initial stage. I actually don't find this at all - I can be stabbing my base wool for ages with seemingly no progress, as opposed to a pen tool with 3 fine needles, which I find forms my bases very quickly. Nice punch tool though, I like the way it sits in the hand, and although I don't use it, I am keeping it incase I do find a use for it in the future.

I only bought this because I needed felting needles asap and this was Prime delivery. I'm constitutionally illdisposed towards plastic gubbins and saw no need for more than my wooden handle. I was wrong! Another reviewer said that this was "indispensable" for needle felters and I now agree. It comes with five (ordinary) felting needles so arguably makes larger pieces of work five times faster...and takes ordinary needles as refills. It's also safer. I used it to felt new soles to my wet felted slippers and generally repair them. super speedy and effective. love, love, love!

There’s lots of different versions on the multi needle tool available, quite a lot of them have complaints about quality and just not working. This is the real deal clover tool, it works, it works well. Comes with 5 fine needles that are very good quality (clover presumably) Not too noisy, doesn’t lock if it’s own accord, produces felt very quickly and easily. Nice to hold, comfortable in the hand.

Great tool for felting. Takes five needle at a time although you can use fewer needles if you wish. Easy to use just push down gently through the felt and pull back out. No experience needed to try this although perhaps just have one needle in to get the feel of it if you have never tried it before. Good price, good fun, therapeutic when using satisfying feeling when you look at the results of your effort.

This is a nice, safe tool to use when needle felting. It would be ideal for someone new to needle felting or those with poorer motor skills as the tool covers and protects the needles, preventing injury and locks when not in use. Felting needles are very VERY sharp and really should be used in a holder whenever possible. I would recommend this tool wholeheartedly for anyone interested in the art of needle felting.

I do a lot of needle-felting and I've been eyeing this tool for a while, even though I have several other multi-needle tools. I was very eager to try it, so I used it immediately on a 2D piece, laying down roving on a piece of felt fabric to build it up. I used the Clover brush underneath my work. This worked extremely well and is a breeze to use. It made the work go quickly and the design is perfect for flat work because you don't have to stab the work deeply. Some reviewers spoke about breaking needles right away...I don't understand this. If you keep the tool perpendicular to your work and keep the same angle in and out, the needles shouldn't break as there should be little to no torque on them. The safety feature is brilliant and works well to protects fingers... no blood spilt so far with this baby. I know I will use this tool for many years and believe this to be a very good value and investment in my work and time.
