Good quality and useful cable
I bought this just for the metering feature, but realized it's super helpful as a fast charging cable extension as well. Having an extra 1 meter extension for laptop or phone charging is better than I thought it would be. The most powerful USB C charging adapter that I have is a 96W wall charger for a laptop and this cable read a peak of 92W while performing a CPU stress test on the laptop. That's the highest USB power consumption that I'm able to test at the moment. The data transfer with the extension works just as fast as the stand alone 10Gbps USB C cable that came with the drive that I tested. Also, it's nice to get a bit more length as a data cable extension because manufacturers often include such short cables with their drives. I really like the clearly labeled specs on the product page, and on the product box it came in, and even with a removable lable on the cable itself for easy identification. I wish more manufacureres did this! Box is high quality, cable seems like really good quality as well. It's a bit inflexible, but I don't consider that a problem for me as I'd rather have it be robust than flexible and easily kinked. I expect to get a lot of use out of it, and will update if it breaks. The USB C male end fits very well with the 5 different devices I plugged it into so far. The USB C female end, as other have mentioned, doesn't look like it fully seats a connector plugged into it, but it does hold strong without wiggle and the connection is as good as any of the best USB C cables I have used. The price is kinda high but I think it's justified. I've never bought anything from Plugable before but likely will in the future.

Works with Framework 16 180W USB-C adapter & cable!!
Came super fast and helped me test a few cables that weren't delivering full-speed. Confirmed my suspicions! With the official 180W USB-C power adapter (currently the highest output commercially available USB-C charger.), it immediately show it was pulling 178W under load. It did glitch initially when testing some cables but I believe that was my error as unplugging everything completely (both ends) for a few minutes and plugging it all back in, worked flawlessly. Very happy, I have several plugable cables and they always satisfy. One warning: If you're pulling as much power as I am (almost 180W!) touching the metal part of the display on the cable gets VERY WARM. Not burning warm, but it's definitely quite a bit of heat!

Sturdy. Listing title is inaccurate. Not a "Multimeter".
The listing title says "Digital Multimeter Tester". It is not a multi-meter. It only displays power (Watts), not voltage or amperage. That would be fine for a listing that didn't say "Multimeter". The male to female USB-C extension cable is sturdy. Being able to pass through video and data and high wattage. Initially, I thought having the pass through meter as an extension cable would be much better than as a dongle - less stress on the connectors because the cable is flexible and the connectors are more normal sized, with less leverage on your device's USB-C jacks. Bu I have to say I haven't found the 3'3" extension to be especially useful. It just makes the meter bulkier. A shorter 6" or 12" cable would keep the meter where I need it and still be gentile on jacks. Or this would be good as a regular USB-C cable instead of an extension cable so I wouldn't need a separate regular USB cable every time I use it. Quality seems good, but I would not get this again. I'd consider a regular USB-C cable with a meter instead of an extension cable.

Don't get this
Worked great for a few weeks until it just suddenly stopped working for no reason. It was plugged into a laptop for wired earbuds and nothing had been moved or even touched. Do NOT recommend.

Much more robust than power meter dongles
I originally had a little in-line power meter dongle. Unfortunately the connectors snapped off their circuit board thanks to the flimsy design. In contrast, this cable’s integrated power meter is MUCH more durable. Very handy to see how much power a device is drawing, how much a power supply can put out. Definitely avoid the dongles and go with this cable meter.

Very dim screen
The screen on this cable to read the wattage is very very dim and only viewable indoors in normal lighting. Outdoors its completely impossible to easily read and very bright lights are also difficult. I have other cables with wattage meters that are much brighter and were ironically cheaper. That said the fact this is an extension cable and it is VERY robust braided cable still make it a very good value. As an extension cable you can use it with any usb-c cable to both get a power reading and extend it's length. I am unable to confirm if it will truly show power rating to 240w I only have 100w devices, which i confirmed using a klein tools power meter and it was with margin of error accurate, showing decimal point wattages.

Product works as described.
I was looking for a 10 ft cable but decided to get this one instead to work with my 6 ft since this can not only extend charging cable but also the usb-c 3 gen 2 cable in case I ever need to extend that for my portable nvme drive (my pc only has a gen 2 for usb-c on the back of the computer, and gen 2 cables are generally to short for me to route to somewhere accessible. This extender would solve the problem!) Also I love that it has a screen that shows you how fast you are charging!

What rate am I charging at?? Now I know
I really did not know what my different chargers and cables were charging at. This Plugable USB C extension cable is very easy to use and simple to read. The display shows you the rate you are charging at so you can test different USB C cables to see how or if they work (not all USB C cables are the same). I can't think of any negative things about this tester. This appears to be sturdy. If I come up with any other items I will update my review.
