Does anyone use this for keeping the inside of their car dry?

I have used a dehumidifier bag in my car for years. There is one on Amazon that you put in the microwave to dry out or place on a radiator. My one has a cat face which has blue stitching which turns pink when it’s damp. I find it very effective.

If I purchase crystals (3 bags) can I then use just 1 bag and store other 2 bags to use as refills over a period of time?

That's what I have done and I have never had a problem. Being using these crystal for years. Store spare bags in a dry place.

What kind of containers are needed to use this refil?

I had previously bought the larger Lakeland moisture traps which came with crystals, these large bags of crystals are long lasting and are good to have ready for when refills are needed. Just dispose of the old crystals and wash and dry the container before refilling.

Would these work if i was to pour a kilo or so into a washing bowl or two and leave them over winter in my static caravan?r to

No, you would have to put it in a sieve or something over a bowl. It absorbs the damp and drips down into a container, once it's wet it's useless. I use refillable containers in my caravan and top them up over the winter.
