The round nose is blackened and rough on the inside. Seems like some metal damage but it is not rust. At first I thought it was the flat nose! Flat nose had ridges. I am new to wire wrapping - teacher says it's best pliers are smooth. The photos did not show whether inside was ridged or smooth. Cutter I don't know as I haven't tried. Don't have enough experience yet really to judge quality. Though oiled to prevent rust, as advertised, some rust was there. Meh, but I suppose it's a good enough set for a beginner.
