Best flavor I’ve had so far

Little Sheep hot pot soup base is the only one our family use for hot pot now. We tried endless amounts of soup bases, from Japan, China, Korea, and on and on. We finally ended our hunt for the best soup base. We always compare them all to Little Sheep and come back to this. This is our favorite and has the best and most unique/balanced flavor of herbs and spiciness. Can be little salty but that is why you need to add lots of meats, vegetables, noodles, and eat mainly as a dip/sauce, not as a true soup. We have eaten at the Little Sheep restaurants and the soup flavor is exactly the same as you would get from this package.

I haven’t been able to go out to get hotpot for almost a year because of The pandemic. I was really craving it but I didn’t feel like making a soup base from scratch. So I decided to try this soup base and it was AMAZING. Probably the best hotpot I’ve had yet. It wasn’t super spicy and was very easy to make. The only thing I can say that’s not so great is the sodium content. It’s a little salty but I just added a little extra water.

I've had hotpot one other time but I used this brand for my first at home pot and WOW! The spice was really there and absorbed nicely into the tofu and noodles, the chili's added such a good kick to the crab and sliced ribeye. At times it felt a little salty however I remebered it was the salted meat we used ! The broth was sooo great on its own, I highly recommend this for a first time at home hotpot experience. The package said it was good to feed 6 people even though we only used it for two people. It filled up both sides to the dual pot as well as kept its great taste after refilling it with water a few times. Overall, this is a nice quality product and I can't wait to order some again!

The hot version is just ok (waaaay better than the plain). One customer wrote that the base smells like armpit, and I would have to agree--thus the 3 star. Just ok.

I've never been to little sheep but I can say these packets are very flavorful and delicious Instructions are easy to follow and you just have to add water which is nice when you need an easy meal
