A necessity for someone with a hernia and a repeat item in this house. This does what it is supposed to do and helps with stopping the acid retuning up the throat and burning it. What the PPI's don't stop, this usually does.

I’ve used gaviscon double action for many years. It’s a good product. For less money you can buy a product called peptac which is just as good if not better. However, as with any alginate it must be used properly and taken after a meal, or before bed, it should be the last thing to pass your lips once you stop eating and drinking as it will create a barrier at the top of your stomach.

Expensive but it works quickly for my occasional heartburn.
