My dad loved this. We were surprised on the overall size and how sturdy it was. Looks great once built. Brilliant product, highly recommended.

Great item, my son built it immediately. So easy to do. This is the third model in the collection he has done in the last 3 weeks

good way to occupy your mind
needed something to keep me busy and this was just the ticket. instructions are a little "sketchy" but got there in the end, materials are easy to access and enjoyed putting it together. it is made out of card and so if you are a little heavy handed, can bend or damage the pieces but on the whole, well made and a good design. enjoyed it very much

An Outstanding End Result.
Wow! Having read so many 5star reviews, & having just been on The Flying Scotsman on 13th of March, i decided to give it a go. I am so pleased that i did & the end product is fantastic. I was in no hurry to finish it & took my time to make sure i made no mistakes. Instead of having pieces all over the place i just took out the numbered pieces as needed, eg, diagram 1 you have pieces 17, 38 & 87. Beware! some of the tiny pieces can be difficult to punch out, so take your time. The pieces are well numbered & the diagrams/instructions are very clear & easy to understand. It says the average time to complete the puzzle is 4 hours, that, to me is rubbish, i took no notice of that & did it in MY OWN TIME. On some of the fiddly bits i used a dab of super glue just to make sure it did not move out of shape. Take your time, keep your patience in check & you will be rewarded with an end result that will make you proud(it did me). As i look at it now in the middle of our wall unit it looks nothing like a puzzle, it really does look like a very expensive metal model of The Flying Scotsman. Anybody who loves the age of steam trains & who would like a miniture of the Scotsman, i really recommend you to buy this & build it yourself. I look at it & i say to myself. I BUILT THAT.

Not easy for a child!
This is fun and the pieces are strong! However, it says for ages 8+ and I’m 25. My partner and I love Lego and building things and I can’t lie, it’s really quite tricky and I’m not entirely sure an 8 year old will find it easy so just be aware if you’re buying it for a child, they’ll defo need help!

Train
I bought this as a gift for my dad as he likes to make models. He enjoyed putting it together and found the instructions easy to follow and assembled is looks fantastic. I think it was good value for money and would buy another one of another model. It sits out on proud display in my dads lounge where he shows it off.
