Handle carefully
I have purchased this item five times, so far. Each individual sleeve is very thin, compared with the more well known and used thicker album cover protective sleeves available (sealed or unsealed). It became clear to me that because of the thin nature of these sleeves, they can be damaged very easily, including in transit from supplier to customer. Creasing or splitting, if mishandled can occur, especially when inserting the cardboard album covers, particularly gatefold covers. However, if handled properly and delicately, they look brilliant. I suppose it depends on how often you play your LP records and how good you are at being careful how you use this product. I can't recommend them to everyone and I can't give full five star ratings to all features. I'll need to see how long the resealable strips last for, with frequent use. I have now realised, too, that when removing and replacing albums, the resealable lip of the sleeves is jamming against the neighbouring album's lip, causing them to crease (permanently). I know this could be rectified by placing the sleeves with the lip at the top of each album but then you would need to remove the whole sleeve to play the chosen album each time. Unless, of course you display your albums with the spine at the bottom. Then you wouldn't be able to read which album is which. The sleeves do look very good though and as I said previously, it depends on how careful you are and how often you play your albums.

Not Gatefold Sleeves
In buying this, I specifically sought gatefold vinyl covers. This product is misleadingly advertised, as it seems the sleeves are made to be gatefold covers. They are, instead, single covers that can house a 12" LP, the same as any other plastic cover for records of that size. There is also the fact that using used them when I ran out of my regular 12" covers, they tend to split VERY easily when you attempt to put a record in that is anything other than a very thin single record cover. Gatefolds, or spined single records, from my experience, are almost certainly going to burst the seems of the sleeves. A deceitfully advertised product that doesn't even function.

Improve the look and protect
I love these sleeves. They make your album sleeves look very classy, even if they're a little old and tired. They are also relatively inexpensive at around £.0.30 each. Be warned, however, that if you try to push the tolerance of the sleeve, naturally they will split. I managed to get Quadrophenia by The Who into the double sleeve OK and without issues (Quadrophenia has a booklet inside) and a Triple album in lean packaging would also be fine but beyond that you need to look at other options. Also be aware that there are two sizes.. Single lp and double and spotting the difference isn't easy, when ordering. They are thin enough as to not take up a mass of extra room with your collection, which is also a bonus.I like the other products from this company as well: The stylus brush being great value too.

The best value clear outers that I've found
I've been using these outers for the last couple of years now and have moved all of my vinyl over to them. I have found them to be consistent in their sizing (unlike some LP jacketswhich do seem to vary) and durable.I buy both the standard 12" and gatefold sizes and use as necessary. Some thinner gatefold LPs will fit in the standard outer but don't try to force it too much as it will split the seam along the edge fairly easily if you do.I tend not to remove the LP jacket from the outer once it's in and my records sit in their inner sleeve the rear of the jacket for was of access. Before I started using these I was concerned that over time the adhesive on the closure would be removed and it would stop closing but I have not found this to be the case after a couple of years.Being crystal clear they really do make you LP covers pop, especially the older ones with some wear. I'll continue to use these whilst they remain at this price as I am very happy with them.If you value your record collection then I think these are a wise investment, along with some decent inner sleeves to protect your vinyl. For the inners I use the Dynamic rounded anti-static sleeves from the same company and have found these to be the best for me in terms of price / quality.

Preferable clarity
Whilst these are not as robust as other, thicker sleeves, personally I prefer the crystal clear look of these OPP material sleeves. They take a double album or gatefold. Or even two single LP's or 4 or 5 thin 12" sleeves (no point wasting money with one sleeve per 12" single!). I used 50 sleeves "abusing" then in this way and only caused a slight split in one side seam. Also like the fact they still look good and function without removing the adhesive strips cover, so you can just fold the flap over to still offer protection without the hassle of having to open the adhesive seal each time. I'd also say they are fine for single LP's so I'd personally only order the gatefold versions for ease.

Superb product.
These sleeves are just about as good it gets when it comes to looking after your record sleeves. Unlike cheaper alternatives they maintain their lustre and so if you display your albums (as I do) then they remain dust free and look great. The only downside to these sleeves is that if you have a large collection then it will be a costly exercise to have all albums protected in this way so you may choose to do as I do, buy a pack at regular intervals so that there is no unnecessary stain on finances. Using the sleeves requires a little bit of careful handling but otherwise once you have overcome any initial clumsiness all will be well.Highly recommended!

Excellent, high quality sleeves
These sleeves really are good. They are as the name suggests crystal cleat and seem very strong and i would expect them to stand up to the LP being removed many times. The other good thing is that the adhesive should you wish to use it is on the body of the sleeve rather than the flap which means that it won't keep catching the LP sleeve and potentially damaging it.I can't see any downside to these sleeves and i will be ordering more when they come back in stock. They aren't the cheapest, but then quality rarely is. I would recommend these without reservation.
