Been cycling for over 50 years. Used every lube known to man and this is by far the best. My chains last 3-4x longer with this lube vs traditional lubes, both wet and dry. This is a wax based lube that uses water as the carrier. The water evaporates and leaves a wax film on the chain. It may not run quite as clean as melted parafin waxed chain but it is very close and soooo much easier to use. I apply a small bead to each link and back pedal the chain as I pinch it between my thumb and index fingers, pushing the wax deep into the pins and rollers. After about 200 miles I wipe my chain down with a rag spayed with WD40 to remove any surface grime (usually there is very little) and reapply Squirt. I generally can get anywhere between 8-10k miles before my chain needs to be replaced. This is by far the most effective, clean running, easy to use lube available. I highly recommend this lube for all riding conditions, (wet/dry) (mountain/gravel/road). Works great in all conditions and all terrain.

Excellent product. Reduces chain noise dramatically. The negative reviews that are out there suggest people are applying too much of the solution to their chains, thus causing a wax build up. I apply a single fairly even coat to the inside of the chain after thoroughly cleaning the chain using a degreaser. I allow the Squirt wax to penetrate the chain overnight. Allowing the Squirt to cure overnight is key. My chain only needs about one application every 500-600 miles. I also de-grease the chain each time I apply more Squirt. There really isn’t any grease on the chain when using this product, but the wax does turn sort of a gray color. A dry chain is a much cleaner chain, and that is what Squirt does. My drivetrain is much quieter and it lasts longer.

Awesome bike chain lubricant. I recently switched to waxing my chains and wanted a product to increase the intervals between waxes. I settled on this instead of the Silca wax based lube and find it to work effectively! It does leave a slight residue on the chain that needs to be removed before re-waxing but it is so much cleaner than traditional bike lubes!!

Very good, it does its job very well, easy to apply, it doesn't require a compulsive cleaning before applying, but if you have to do it (come on, don't be lazy). Don't rack your brains thinking too much, it's a lubricant my friend, not a magic formula, so every so often you'll have to give it maintenance. A little degreaser, water and a hard bristle brush will do an excellent job of cleaning.
