Outstanding
As a studio photographer I need a reliable light source, good modeling lamp and plenty of power, reliability and a small footprint. This covers everything. The 400w is good for studio or location portraits. The remote operation from the trigger has not failed me on reliability. It's compact compared to other brands on the market at a higher price. The built in bowens mount makes switch ng Modifiers easy. Great battery life with mains adapter. It's light weight for carrying to shoots. The operation is easy and the menu is a breeze. I have switched to Neewer lights a while ago with the Q3's but now to have this too it's an absolute joy of a system. Will not switch back and will be planning on getting more. Highly recommend

Generally amazing
For the money 400watts very good, small. Somehow lower handle seems too weak for the weight.

A fantastic battery powered flash
I've got two of these in my photography studio and I have to say that they're now my go to flashes for key lighting. I don't use TTL as I prefer manual control over the flash settings, so I can't really comment on that feature, but the manual flash setting options are excellent though, allowing power to be lowered to 1/256 if needed. The lights have a built in Bowens mount for attachment of soft boxes and various diffusers and there's a modelling light, although that really isn't bright enough to be of much use if you're working in a studio with a fair bit of ambient light. All in all though, as a flash unit this is excellent. The recycle time is very quick and the battery life is much better than most.

Good and compact
I bought Neewer q4 last year, was looking for a compact light system for wedding and events photography. The light is powdered by battery which is sufficent for entire day, because it's such a compact and easy to carry(comes with it's own bag). It has display screen at the back of light, shows all the options that makes it easy to operate. The modeling lamp is bright enough for camera to focus on subject. You can see how bright the lamp is one of the pictures above. The light itself is small, yet powerful for photo. I would reccommend it everyone, who is looking to buy a battery powered photography strobe.

Quality Flash
This versatile mobile light from Neewer is everything you’d want from a flash. Easy to carry about in its own protective case, it’s great for outdoor work as well as studio work. Don’t be put off by the name. Sure it’s not Elinchrom, Bowens Profoto etc but this fella will stand up to any comparison with the big names. With a Bowens type fit attachments are readily available. One suggestion is to purchase the compatible trigger. Makes life so much easier

Brilliant! (quite literally)
The Neewer Q4 400W flash head is brilliant, very easy to assemble coming in a nice carry case. You need to add the strobe head but this is very easy to do just lining up the right dots and pressing it home onto the main flash unit - adding the battery is also very easy too. I found that the stands I had were a little lightweight for this when it was extended towards the stands full height as this is quite a heavy head but not too heavy. It is very easy to setup and use, I connected it to my Q-Pro trigger remote on my camera and it connected straight away. This is a good professional unit and you won't go far wrong with it, the light it produces is even in all the shots I took and it was easy to balance it with the other flashes I was using. I used it with my umbrellas to get a nice soft even light as the background in some shots and this worked well. I can see myself getting more of these so I can create a nice studio setup.

This is a powerful studio and outdoor flash. Has no problem overpowering the sun. It has all the modern bells and whistles that you would expect from a 400 W flash. The TTL is fairly accurate and it also has HSS. The color accuracy can sometimes fluctuate between continuous shots but then this flash doesnt claim to be color accurate. It doesnt overheat and is definitely value for money.
