An Incredible Monitor
This is an amazing monitor! Excellent color, incredible contrast, and the ability to switch between two video sources (one DP and one HDMI).However, be aware that this monitor needs a good graphics card. My 10G RTX 3080 was fine for productivity work, but fell to single digit frame rates when gaming. While the resolution is razor sharp, the higher DPI means you will likely be making your text bigger in every app. Also, the speakers are a pointless afterthought. Imagine a piezo transducer hot glued to the bottom of an empty soup can, and you will get an idea of the sound quality. Don't buy this expecting good sound.Would I buy this monitor again? YESWould I recommend it to a friend? YES- even to strangers ;)

Love it!
Arrived with no dead pixels the first time. Excellent product so far! Don't buy the warranty as the manufacturers is already good enough.

it's pretty big
(Note - this is for the non-smart version, Amazon seems to mix and match reviews with product versions)the bad:- menu navigation uses the worlds most annoying plastic joystick button thing. Half the time when I get to the option I want I just press it until it decides I'm worthy of selecting an option. Almost makes me wish I would have gotten the version with a remote, but I don't want or need bloatwear on my monitor.- when I first got it one half was slightly darker than the other, like the contrast between the panels wasn't quite right. Turning PIP/PBP on and back off fixed it and it hasn't happened since.- the menus themselves aren't great, and after changing most settings you'll be kicked out of the menu entirely so changing 3 or 4 things in a row is an exercise in patience, esp when combined with the worlds worst input device- there's an "infinity core lighting coresync" mode that is supposed to sync to whatever the screen color is, but I've never seen it be any color but bright blue-whiteThe good:- looks stunning- is massively wide, you can fairly comfortably split the screen 3 ways, and splitting it in half is the best "dual monitor" experience I've ever had- has decent options for scaling things that won't drive ultrawide (ex N. Switch) or you can just let it stretch- can drive itself as 2 screens with a separate input for each, with options for picture in picture, split down the middle, or into a 1/3 on one side (left or right) and 2/3 on the other. (only one "screen" can output volume in this mode)- built in configurable LED backlighting looks nice, and has a plastic diffuser over it- the stand baseplate is metal, and it connects to the screen with a nice clip, and the baseplate is big enough that I'm not concerned with it ever falling over in any reasonable situation.Other notes:- most games are going to get weird at this resolution/width, especially in regards to FOV at the outer 1/4th of the monitor.- it has a ~0.3-0.5in bezel all the way around it.- It's pretty heavy, so depending on how you feel about moving the box around, you may want to phone a friend to help you uncrate it just due to how bulky it is.- You're going to want some beefy hardware if you're gaming on this at full resolution, I have a 4090 and benchmarked ~25fps with everything cranked and no DLSS. DLSS on benchmarked at ~45fps.

Read this BEFORE you buy...
If you are using this monitor with more than one input (especially a laptop) as well as a gaming PC, read this!I use my monitor for both work and gaming with 2 machines. My Corsair One for gaming works perfectly with this monitor with no issues. My laptop however was a nightmare to get to "work" with this monitor. The Samsung support is absolutely terrible. First, you'll get NO instruction or setup booklet when the monitor is delivered. It just shows you how to basically unpack it and "plug it in". Your laptop will likely NOT work out of the box if it's a work-grade laptop (not for gaming). I googled and watched a lot of youtube videos just to get the basics to work. I called Samsung multiple times and was told a lot of misinformation (buy a Thunderbolt C cable, do this, do that...). Finally they setup a ticket for someone to come onsite to my home and "fix" it. I was told they would be here within 24-48 hours and to answer my phone as they will close tickets if you don't. No one ever called and after 10 days they just "cancelled" the ticket stating it had the wrong information on it. Typical. You're completely on your own to figure all this out.If you're in a situation like mine, know that you'll need to use your HDMI and that you only have 1. So the idea of splitting your screen can get really tricky. To even make your HDMI work with your laptop so the screen doesn't compress, you need to go to the setup on the monitor itself and in the Menu, so to System, then PC/AV - choose AV. You may also have to change the Display Port Ver to 1.4 instead of 2.0. Everyone's situation will be different of course depending on your laptop. This at least made my laptop using HDMI usable, but it shrinks the screen size down to ~27". You won't be able to use the full 49" view.I bought this monitor primarily for gaming, but still have to use it for work as well. You'll be disappointed in it if you try to hook up a laptop with a mediocre graphics card. There are other videos out there to get this to work and use multiple inputs, but again - beware... You only get 1 HDMI and 1 Display port. It may not end up being as great of a monitor as you may think. Samsung support is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I followed their directions and bought the Thunderbolt C connection and it still didn't work. I hope this helps someone else out in the future.
