one for all almost
this album rocks but also it isn't afraid to step back and let something breathe, something happen , but for the most part it is stripped back and takes it chances with a hard groovy vibe , pacey at times for sure, the first two tracks soar and sear and will get your foot tapping and perhaps even your head although this isn't exclusively going to appeal to every metal head and at the same time shouldn't just be limited to my metal head brothers and sisters. This is a super group of sorts , featuring members of converge and cave in and maybe another band whose name has escaped me. This album doesn't really sound like any of the named bands if honest but the skill is there and it works very well. On the third song 'sweet ivy' we get our first shimmering guitar strum before a snappy riff kicks in and then the drums take us home before a wall of melodic rock surges forward and the singing is strained and heartfelt , perhaps the band I aint that fond of comes to mind, what do you call them, that two piece that won stuff at the mainstream English awards and people assume I like, do me a favour. The album feels better and better as we delve in deeper and repeated listens actually open this up to be more technical than once first imagined. I really like this album, something of a real surprise to me if honest. It works together in its sparseness yet its imagination.

Simply a perfect album. I listened to it three times in a row the first day I bought it. It is a genre-defying album. What else would you expect from veteran members of the legendary Converge and Cave In? Koller's drums are relentless [he's one of the best there is], Brodsky's guitar riffs are odd, frenzied, and beautiful, and the bass lines glue everything together perfectly. The songs are heavy, fast, and catchy all at the same time, making for a listening experience that really is unlike anything else out there. My favorite tracks are "Bridgeburner" and "Sweet Ivy", but there are so many good tunes it's hard to pick a favorite. Do yourself a favor and buy this alum. If you're an aggressive music fan, I know you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

This is one of the best heavy albums of the year. The pedigrees of the members speak for themselves. I dare you not to drum along on your steering wheel.

Excellent ! ! Get this or u suck.
Best album I heard in over 10 years. No Sweater metal or metal core just straight up rock not roll. They get in and get out. A+.
