Vegan, quite large but okay to swallow and no bad aftertaste
Quite large, but okay to swallow and doesn't leave a bad aftertaste / repeat on you. Early days as I haven't yet finished all of the capsules, but I like that they are vegan, not animal-based.

HIGH DOSAGE BUT..
Definitely, there are aspects that I like about this supplement. One, it is safe & suitable for most individuals. Their omega 3 is sourced directly from algae which is safe for pregnant, breastfeeding mothers & vegans. Another, it contains a substantial amount of 500 mg DHA with 20mg EPA per adult serving compared to most same supplements in the market today. Even though I like taking this supplement, I noticed that the capsules it contains are larger compared to other similar products. I have compared the size with my other DHA capsule and it’s twice the size difference. This might pose a challenge for individuals who have difficulty swallowing big capsules. Moreover, the amount of EPA is only 20mg which is not enough to prevent vascular inflammation, aches, & pains. Overall, I recommend this omega 3 supplement due to quantity, dosage & vegan friendly. However, this might not be for you if you can’t take large capsule. Also, this supplement is mainly for brain health & not for inflammation due to the the ratio dosage of DHA & EPA. Thank you for taking time to read my review. I hope you 👍 find it helpful.

Excellent
I hadn't come across the brain feed brand before, but I have been taking omega-oil supplements - most recently alga oil - for years. The positive effects of omega oils on health are well documented. Their contributions to cardiovascular health and the strength and lustre of skin, hair and nails are often talked about. Omegas contribute to health and well-being in a host of other ways too, though. They support brain function, nerve function, muscular performance, cell communication and blood circulation. In fact, they play a role in practically every physiological process in the human body, so it makes sense to consume some omega-rich foods (organic nuts and seeds, for example) daily and also to take a high-quality omega oil supplement each day. I've been taking algae oil capsules for a couple of years. Algae oil is preferable to fish oil in several ways - it's purer, more potent and cruelty free - and is every bit as good a source of omegas as longtime favourite flaxseed oil. These particular algae oil capsules from brain feed are cruelty free and contain no artificial additives of any kind - no flavourings, sweeteners, bulking agents, flow agents, preservatives, genetically modified Frankensteinisms or other such undesirable rubbish. It's just pure algae oil and some mixed tocopherols inside a vegan-friendly capsule shell made from natural substances. The capsules are fairly large yet easy to swallow. You don't have to swallow them to get the full goodness from their contents, though. You can, if you prefer, do as I do - bite into the capsule to burst it, suck out the algae oil, then spit out the empty capsule shell. The soft shell itself is made from innocuous natural ingredients that won't do you any harm, but they won't do you any particular good either. Biting into the capsules to burst them and let out the oil ensures more complete digestion of the oils than swallowing the capsules would. Three factors determine the quality of a nutritional supplement: purity, potency and efficacy. The folk at brain feed seem to understand this (which should be a given for any supplement manufacturer but unfortunately it isn't - most supplement manufacturers load their products with toxic junk, often in the interest of "flavour", as though they were peddling sweeties to children as opposed to selling what should be health-enhancing supplements). As well as being a high-quality product, this algae oil supplement from brain feed is excellent value. The recyclable pouch contains a 60-day supply of capsules. At the current price of £34.99, that works out at around 50p per day. Not much to pay for a supplement that will enhance your health and well-being in many ways. An easy five stars from me. A quality product at a fair price.

No complaints at all, great little capsules in nice compact packaging!
I'd never taken Omega-3 supplements before but had always considered it, though the worry about fishy aftertaste and smells always put me off. These vegan, algae-based capsules are the perfect solution to that issue! I was still slightly dreading it when opening the packet, but I can thankfuly confirm there's no fishy smell (or taste) at all! The capsules are on the hefty size (photo included to show the scale) but I didn't have any issue actually swallowing them though, probably because of the shape and how smooth they are, so no problems there! 500mg per capsule is the amount recommended by Heart UK for adults each day, so the "one capsule per day" recommendation on the packet lines up perfectly! Some conditions reccommend 2000mg per day though, so you might need to look for something stronger if that's the case. I also love the compact and efficient packaging used! So often with vitamins/supplements, they come in bulky containers or packets, much bigger than what's actually needed. This one is perfectly sized though, nice and compact leaving just enough space for the tablets themselves, and it's fully resealable as well. Really nice to see, since it takes up less space on the worktop! Obviously I can't say much about the health effects myself, not yet anyway, but if you feel like you need a bit more Omega-3 in your diet and want a non-fishy option to get there, these are an excellent choice!

Vegan Omega-3 with high DHA
This is a very useful supplement for anyone who is on a plant-based/vegan/vegetarian diet or who doesn't want to consume fish for any reasons. The Omega-3 is derived from Algae which the fish consume themselves so it is rich in Omega-3. The issue with plant-based Omega-3 supplements is they can be low in DHA which is the better nutrient and benefits more compared to EPA which needs to be converted. This is where the fish based Omega-3 supplements are superior (From a nutrition perspective) as they provide higher amounts. This supplement does have a decent amount of DHA which is great. They also appear to be testing for Heavy metals so it appears to be a very clean form of plant based Omega-3. Overall this is a great supplement.

I love that this DHA from BrainFeed is plant based, algae to be exact! I used to be concerned about taking Omegas because the capsules were huge and or they had a fishy taste or a fishy burp. Some of the ones I tried you had to take 2 capsules. Well I had no problems swallowing one of these capsules. They are slim and clear and clean looking. There was no fishy smell, no burps, no GI issues at all. Best of all I only needed 1 capsule a day. The trend lately has been for people looking for brain support. I'm one of them and have always been. Therefore I am very familiar with the benefits of the Omega oils. I like that the Omega oil has been isolated into the DHA only because sometimes a person needs more or less of one than the other. But, DHA is not only for Brain Support. There are many other benefits for our bodies. These might just be what you need to. There may be side effects for a certain population so make sure to check with your medical professional before you take these. I am happy to have found this brand of Omega Oils. They are a trustworthy brand originally out of the UK and have some impressive scientists behind all this. I heartily recommend Brain Feed DHA.

One of the supplements I take on a daily basis are Omega 3 fatty acids for anti-inflammatory and eye health benefits. This particular supplement is derived from plant algae (as opposed to fish oil). Because it is plant based, there is no fishy aftertaste. Each capsule provides 500 mg of DHA. The product is packaged in a pouch, and one of the capsules was pierced, leaving the inside a bit oily, but otherwise the supplement appears clean and high quality.
